burnt the top

Recommended Posts

Well I'm up to about the 6th week or so and my 1 and only baby is about 1 meter tall.

I am growing in a small cupboard with a 400 watt santiago.

Anyways after a lovely evening in the dark and no doubt growing, the lights kicked in and burnt the top of the plant.

I have since tied it down.

I have left the burnt tips for now, should I cut em off ???

;) :D

not saying it is but it could be nute burn not light burn are your leaves cupping upwards at all kinda like a V ?

provided you have good ventilation I find you can get your lights pretty close to your girls without burning em.

just a seccond thought to throw into the mix because from what I have been told quite a few people make this mistake and move their light further away when it may not nesseceraly need it

just do the hand test if you hand feels warm but not hot then you really should be fine imo

Hey Nath, you get to sleep for 12 hours?? Lucky prick :;):

Doesn't matter when you trim the leaves, I'd only take them off if, A: You're 100% that it was your lights that burnt them, and it's not nute burn as Pure suggested. Or,

B: They're burnt beyond saving, in other words, you're pretty sure they're cactus!! Sometimes, you'd be suprised at the way the damaged growth can come back :D

Hey Pure.. I have a 200mm Bunnings fan right on my light.. and now I can put the plants about 10cm's away from the globe, it's cool as anything.. I keep them about 15-20cms away though.. but just testing out while I have crappy plants in there ;) DIdn't burn them at all...

Chev, I cant regulate my sleeping pattern, so that's why I'm growing MJ. I stay awake for like two days straight to get to sleep for 6-8 hours  kinda sad, can make me crazy sometimes :D
