Buying a Budget Vaporizor

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd reply seems as I just bought the Vape the OP was considering , I ordered a Vaporite Hyper from CTH via the website Monday night

That looks like my 8 year old "very vappy" brand desktop! It served me well but I haven't used it since the Solo(s) arrived. Does it have the light show switch at the back? Corny and silly but in case you were wondering what that extra switch does !

IMHO: It's hard to get the small (0.15g) dose that I now regularly use in the Solo to cover the screen in the whip and takes some skill to control the airflow and maintain a reasonable temperature range particularly with a small load. Yes, it has a thermistor and there is automated temperature control but I think that it has such a huge airflow that the tiny (?15 or 20 watt) ceramic heater just can't keep up. FWIW I did notice that if I pinched down hard on the silicone whip tubing near the mouthpiece, I could restrict the air flow to a point where I got reasonably consistent extraction.

I think it's a reasonable choice for a desktop but is only as portable as your longest power cord.

For a little bit more cash and a longer wait, I'd still go with the solo every time - particularly if you have portability in mind and want reliable extraction with minimal learning curve and effort. It efficiently extracts a much smaller load than that desktop too.

As always, YMMV - but now you can enjoy the freedom from burning cellulose carcinogens coating your airways.

This is the one I got , there's no switch on the back just a small fan , happy with it so far the fan is good for kicking it along when needed , remote options are handy too , I only load say 2-3 small cones worth into the bowl at a time and that usually does the trick , takes about 5 mins of slow drawing before it's spent , I've been setting it to 380 deg seems best so far

I have just gone to the Arizer Solo from the MFLB, no comparison, better vapor and better flavor. The wife described the better flavor as being like taking a drink of the weed.

+1 - my experience too. the mlfb is stealthy and cute but hard to learn to use efficiently without getting combustion on the screen - nothing like as reliable or tasty as the solo for me too.

I'm sure Solo vapour is "better" because of the way the solo restricts air flow as a trade off for keeping extraction temperature at the desired set point.

I really like mine - all 3 of them (!)

I keep one spare for emergencies and use the one of the others until it's ready to charge then swap them over.

hi, I purchased a vaporite wooden vaporizoer a few years ago and enjoyed using it for around $100. I brought it mainly to save my lungs from too much smoke but I also found I liked the high. But last year I was about to travel and an old friend asked if he could borrow it.I thought I would be kind and let the old guy use it to save his lungs but when I came back and hoped to get it back his phone number was no longer working. So I need to buy another one  but unfortunately my budget is very low and I need to get the best I can for the least amount of money. This is where I hope I can get some advice on what is out there and where I could get it.

I have browsed a few popular online vape and pipe stores but the prices are quite high and it seems I need to spend at least $200. My budget is really around the $100 mark. I'm thinking of going back to where I got my first one but I have read that they are Chinese made which has now put me off a bit. The one that interests me is the Hyper model as it has fans. It will cost me about $130 shipped. Have others used this model and what are your thoughts? What other ones could I consider?

As mentioned already, Arizer vapes are quality units. If you can afford just a bit more, I'd recommend the Arizer Extreme Q. Hands down , the best value-for-money vape available today. We got ours a couple of weeks before xmas and it's badass, can use bags or whip(tube) and temperature is adjustable from 50C (for heating potpourri)up to 260C. Australian Vaporisers is where we got it, with a 10% discount it worked out at $224. You will use much less flowers , collect oils in elbows and leftovers(known as ABV or already been vaped)can be used to make oil for capsules and the like. Another great portable is a Daisy vape but hard to find in Aus. Whatever you choose, you will find you get way more medicated for a lot less weed and your lungs will thank you for it. Good luck dude.
