How long to go?

Thankyou loise for your help, That is great info...

I actually took some clones the other week, dipped them in clonex and then put thm in a cup with dirt in it and they just fell over...what would you say is the best way to go about cloning?

Clones require a high humidity environment for the first few days after cutting. This is how I do mine...

Trim the excess leaf to reduce evaporation, and stick in a jiffy 7 (peat puck).

Then cover the box and place under a 23W CFL.

You need to remove the cover once a day to refresh the air. If the cover on the box looks dry, spray a bit of water on the inside of the lid... try not to spray the cuttings themselves as it usually just ends up making them too wet.

After 3 or 4 days, open the vents on the lid for 10 mins twice a day. Increase time with vents open over the following few days, closing them up if the leaves begin to wilt.

Thanks once again for the replies again guys!

These babies have been thru hell, repotted 4 times. I took them right up into the bush a few weeks ago and 3 of them got eaten (even tho I bought a 18 dollar repellent!)

So obvioulsy I took the other two out of the bush and brought them home. I was very lucky, only one plant was male and I spotted that early...They are looking ridiculously happy with nice little white and purple hairs...First time growing and absolutely loving it...

Reckon I would get a pound of them?

Im using osmocote plant food, making organic teas and compost...

A lb is possible if you can put them into the ground... if you can't do that, I would at least pot them up into a bigger container. A bigger pot means space for more roots and more roots will support more foliage, which will in turn support more flowers and eventually lead to a bigger harvest..

clones like to be around 27 deg cel  to root out properly, humidity not a problem till you into bud but by then the summer should have passed and the cold Antarctic breezes will be on you again, low humidity I'm assuming.. just resist temptation of getting in to them early and you will get some nice fruits off them apple trees lol
