Nanolux ballasts

Haven't had any problems with a 600w digital one, it sits on the floor at room temp so no heat issues, haven't had any other digital ballasts.

Can you use a 400watt bulb on it or do you use a 600 watt bulb and just use the dimming fuction

It takes 250w, 400w, 600w iirc.

Thanks for the info pegz. I saw on ebay 2 for $350. But had just bought a lumatek 600 watt. I still need at least two more digital ballasts so with them being so cheap I wanted to know how they were compared to the others

I originally wanted a Lum, but it was beyond my budget at the time. I think you'll do fine with a Nano, its a nice little unit.

I was hoping that my lumatek was going to get here today but looks like tomorrow, I feel like a kid at Xmas time. If the Nanolux are still cheap when i have money, I will most likely get two.

I run nanolux 600w..... They seem to be doing alright... They run both hps and mh and also dimmable.... You can switch them to 50% when your in early veg and then to 75% and so on to 100%.... The only thing I don't really like about them is that the fans are a bit noisey.... They also got what they call soft start, it reduces the load on your electrical system compared to a magnetic ballast and extends the life of your lamp... Edited April 14, 2014 by MonstaCrop
