hi bullit, always wondered who E.J.W. scribbling was ay...

anyways, please tell us about the volcano you got...like to hear more about it.

lol see "how do you toke" in this section for an emotionly charged discription of volcano in action. ;)

the volcano: www. info@storz-bickel.com lol

the volcano is made in germany in the area where medical and scientific equipment is manufactured, it looks as if it has been made up to a standard rather than down to a price. i don't want to be racist, but, it is typically german, solid, very well enginered, incredibly efficient and just a little stolid. :P

it consists of a base unit, 2 valves and a mouthpiece.

you can take the basic facts about the volcano on the website as fact. i bought mine sight unseen after a friend who runs a grow shop recomended it, after my run in with the vapir and after i had given up smoking 'bacco.

i was put off getting one initially by the plastic-bag and all that, but, in fact i can find no fault with it at all in operation. i've never timed it heating up, but it's pretty quick, just a couple of minutes much faster than dreaded vapir. by the time you've prepared the mj (a minute), put the kettle on or grabbed a beer it's ready. it exceeded my expectations and how many times can you say that.

i am also a medical user and i would hate to be without this unit now i have had it for 9 months.

i realise that mine is a subjective viewpoint and that this unit might not suit everyone, but i defy anyone to have a go and not get ripped.

i'd say that, without exception, everyone who has had a go has been very impressed/poleaxed/bollocked/shit-scared they couldn't drive home etc

the one thing that everyone says is " it's such a clean hit".

it's expensive, but, i saved the whole cost in about 3 months. i gave up tobacco and smoke less mj and get more ripped.

The other option is the Vriptech+Steinel which some people prefer over the Volcano but they're about the same as far as end results go. Vriptech have a valve bag kit coming out next week, it's been delayed for months but they finally sound like they'll be available within days.

I'm looking into selling these if it's viable, should work out to about $350-399 Australian for a VripmasterII, VCB and a Steinel HL2305LCD. If you order them from Vriptech at the current exchange, get your own Steinel locally, it works out to about $420-450.

Though, I really do want to try the Volcano myself. The Vriptech setup is bulky and, for newbies, a bit overwhelming and awkward until you get the hang of it after a few shots. The Volcano looks extremely easy to use, and more relaxing as you can take the bag away and go inhale in comfort instead of sitting over a bong. Vriptech's "Valloon" should level the playing field as far as comfort goes, and their replacement for the Steinel (1/3 the size, quieter, hopefully cheaper, as easy to use and attractive as the Volcano, medical grade etc.) should hopefully be out in the next year. Each to their own though, everyone will have their preference. I honestly don't think the Volcano is worth $1000 though, not even with medical grade surfaces and the 3-year warranty, but these do tip the balance for many people. $350 for a Vriptech setup ain't bad, right? lol

no probs mate, i don't think you would regret it if you did buy one. :P

i've never tried the vriptech+steinel myself but niall seems unbiased in his reporting. i would always go for ballon option myself. lol

it's quite telling that other manufactures are going down the "balloon" route. imitation being the sincerest form of flattery etc.

sorry, i've just remembered something important that i left out before.

there is no SMELL. because it doesn't ever burn there is no smell. the only smell is resin smell, quite pleasent.

but nothing like with smoking. 10% of smoking it and a different smell.

more like flowers, doesn't penetrate at all, open your door when theres a knock and you don't have to worry about neighbours. you can open your windows in the summer. it's taken all that worry away.

one joss stick or air-spray squirt and it's gone.

Pipeman - looking forward to your Aromazap review. I've had mine for near 2 years and can't fault it (except on hot Adelaide summer days when it doesn't like being left on constantly). With regards to your Vapir don't be like the majority of Australians - complain. It's your money and if the product doesn't live up to your expectations then you must let the manufacturer know - even mention that you posted a review on this board. Dealing with US companies can be painful -  I've been screwed over by them in the past - but you owe it to yourself to let them know AND to tell them you're part of a community that might use (or not) their product. As for the 'zap I've had nothing but help for the US vendor I purchased it from (the guy who makes them). All the best.

Test drove the aromazap last night and first impression is its pretty good. Biggest plus on this unit is it looks good and is small and inconspicuous. Just a little timber box and comes with an attachment for aroma oil burning. check em out at www.aromazap.com

Only thing about it is I found is that the tube you toke on gets hot. There is a shotty in the tube but the instructions give you no clue how best to use it. I found I just released shotty few times mid toke to cool the thing down. Almost burnt my lips it got so hot. Be interested to hear what advice Gruntus or anyone else thats used one has got.

But the vapour is smooth and the high is strong, which is the most important thing I guess. Also it says it will run on 12volts AC or DC, which means I can run it off my cigarette lighter in the car, which is another bonus. Only drawback to this unit is I don't think it would work well with hash or oil, this is a bud only machine IMO.

At under $200 australian dollars including purchase of transformer which doesn't come with it I reckon this is the best value vapouriser on the market.

B) so ah...its that good then...nah really, sounds alright, you dont smoke billies, do ya pipe? i gotta quit the darts soonuff and the numbers too...so these vapes sound fair keen. under $200 is a good price from what ive seen and heard. still...thats $200 i cant put elsewhere and i just saved enough to put new boots on the missus car. (while on the subject, i wanna whinge about how all the bux goes into "her" car...mp3, fat boots 215/65/17. all the things car-ish i want come out of my allowance, i go without beer for them rims and she still gets `em). sorry, saved a trip to the bitchin` room...anyway, ill ask you in a couple of months when you`ve blooded it in .

There's a shotty? The tube has two ends - a rounded plastic one you place between your lips and a brass one which is meshed in for your herb. Place ground herb in the brass end, fit it into the heat well on the unit, inhale .. done. Not sure what you mean about the shotty ? You have me confused Pipeman...
