Bad grow problems and cannabis australis

Recommended Posts

Ok thanks for the help,

My tap water is quiet hard I think, like I can smell the chlorine in it.

Would rain water be better? I will have to get a ph meter soon to get a more precise reading than using the ph drops.

Any recommendations on ph meters. Blue lab any good?.

Would dutch master 2 part solution be any better?

Just to give a little update my babies in flower are looking a bit better :) but I gave all my babies in veg to my mate who is trying to save them, as I got told off when the power bill came in and was told it all has to go...:(

But I will be making my own solar grow set up with about 50-60 1w-5w LEDs hope it works :)

Thanks for the help though everyone

Sorry I missed this post,

Generally speaking, if you can drink the tap water it will be fine for the plants. Water hardness relates to the mineral content of the water, this can be checked with an ec meter or look up your local water authority online, they should provide a mineral analysis of the local water supply.

The small amount of chlorine added to water supplies is nothing to worry about in soil or coco... it might reduce the number of microflora in the medium but that can be rectified by supplementing with a probiotic or a mycorrhiza product.

I have cheap eT pens for ec and pH... never had a problem with them... cost 20 or 30 bucks a piece.

If you are continuing in coco just make sure the 2 part is designed for coco growing. I haven't used Dutch master so I don't know to what mediums it is suited.

If you put your water into a bucket or similar and let it sit for a day or so most, to all of the chlorine will dissipate from the water. You can get an ec pen to test your tap water and to adjust the strength of your nutrients

Took to long to post this lol, lou beat me

Thanks for the info everyone,

Well the Babies I had in flower have been pulled up was about half the amount of last harvest and smelled like crap.

But oh we'll I started again from seed

Got white widow x big bud fem

Green poison fem

Kali mist x bubblegum reg

And 1 unknown female.

The tora bora has been a bit of a pain for me :(.

This time no rock wool just expandable coco jiffys I think they where called and coco and perlite mix in the pots all seeds came up except the unknown female, they are about two weeks old growing very fast and healthy. Gave them a very small amount of nutes last night after leaving the water overnight oh and they are under a 140w LED light (dont hate) have been for a week. I will get a good ph or ec pen next week I got a cheap one before and well I won't get one again. I am still using dutch master as I want to try and use it all before getting something else.

Thanks again :)
