Its very rare to see a newbie have a sucessful grow with soil. There are too many variables to get wrong.

 

Start again with Coco and Coco specific nutes and follow my grow guide...its to suit Auto's but the basic principles apply to all plants.

 

You know, I've tried a few times in the past and had cruddy results with soil, no matter what I did. My first hydro grow is going on right now (250W HID, 3"x1.5"x5" wardrobe, pure perlite RTW drip), and it's progressing wonderfully. It seems like hydro is not too hard once you understand the basics.

Initially I would say overwatering. I also think you may now have root rot or another root problem as well.

If you do the peroxide treatment it may fix it, if it is not too late.....

the best thing i found for a soil grow , and i love soil .. is the drainage  ... get that right and its wonderful tasty weed ... perlite seems to buffer the ph , and the nutes , anything weak , or organic ..

Perlite is rated as low in its capacity for pH buffering, and vermiculite is rated as high. Although both can hold plant nutrients such as those in soluble fertilizers, perlite has a low rating and vermiculite is rated as high. Perlite has superior drainage........

I think if I try another soil grow it will be very heavily aerated with lots of perlite. Possibly even just a compost & perlite medium, maybe 50/50...? I see people growing well in soil using heaps of perlite. It seems that cannabis roots really appreciate good aeration.
