How often are people changing their strains?

no point cracking 1 seed

i like to see the structure the way a plant grows

like to see if theres much variation

before i go off on my pollen chucking tangent

 

yeah i agree. i messed around with single seeds for a while but now i just run whole packs. you get a better feel for the strain and find better keepers.

i bet you must have some very special clones billo you lucky dog.

Most seedbanks sell 10 seeds per pack, some like serious seeds do 11 and mr nice does 15.  I guess numbers can jump massively when taking cuttings and what not but you're not going to need anywhere near 100 plants to grow out a single pack of seeds and once you choose that one special plant the others are no longer of any concern so its not really even worth worrying about once off numbers that will only effect your life for a very short period of time.

Exactly I can grow a pack of ten in a 1m x 1m tent. When they are small they fit in easy. Then once they show sex ditch the males and assess how much space you have left and grow and train the ladies to fill your space. Take clones of them incase you get something special

I usualy flower 4 plants at a time in a square metre... there is always at least one new cross or strain with each flowering.

 I will grow different strains every grow until i find what i am looking for .

I started smoking when canna was still seasonal and hydro canna was just starting to become more prevalent .

Still looking for that stinky sticky red hairy nugs from the 90's when " skunk " and hydro gear started to become more common

 

I remember early skunk from the 90's, what I remember most was the lime green colour, the compactness of the buds and the pungent smell. 1 or 2 cones was all you needed, 3 if you wanted to be fucked.

people are never going to get rid of there top performing strains, they are normally kept as mothers, but that being said that doesnt mean people are not gonna go out and trying something new very year or so

ive never grown the same strain twice, well maybe a coupla times but hardly never

addicted to buying diff strains so gotta grow them out

then theres the freebies ya get

so gotta grow them out too cause alot sound pretty cool

With so many strains out there these days i dont know where to start! 15 years ago when i first tried to grow under a 200w incandescent, (haha) there wasn't the access... Now we have strains like 'train wreck'! Hilarious times...
