buzzo
Humidity is the most important factor during curing.Ideal humidity being between 50% to 60% of the air when first drying out ya weed.Approx 10 to 14 days in that environment and it should be just right After placing in the jar I use a humidity meter that's used for Cigars and put that in the jar with ma weed.Leave it for a day and if it's higher than 60% I pull out the weed and let it dry out for a while & repeat until60% is reached. snowflake
So whats the consensus on buds flavour being down to a grower flushing before harvest and a buds flavour simply enhancing with time? A lot of THC will be converted to CBN (non psychoactive) during this wait. I pretty sure i read that on this site somewhere recently.... Miss.Tery
Well snowflake in my opinion the flavour is more to do with how well you flush your plants before harvest. Ridding the plant of all its excess nutrients give's a much better taste. Now as far as potency is concerned, as i understand it THC and CBD are present together in growing plants. (CBD is non psychoactive but does posses medicinal qualities). The levels between these two dictate the potency (fresh) of the strain. Your also right in stating that THC is converted to CBN quite rapidly once a plant is harvested. CBN the primary product of degradation. Now there are many other cannabinoids to be found in cannabis. These are just the main ones Hope this helps
tw3nny
just read a post in green eggs and ham asking about this. does anyone know of a peer reviewed paper detailing this stuff?
Johnsy
Most of the chlorophyl thats in the Buds will be gone after a good long , cold dry, then as you burp your jars in the following weeks, you release the moisture, then when they are stored they age...... the longer you age it, the better the bud..... 12 month cured Pineapple Chuck is amazing compared to 2 months cure. I'll keep that in thought, my pineapple chunk buds have only just started to taste really good after 6 weeks of curing.Keeping an ounce from my small harvest for a year now thanks for the advice
