Which medium produces the best quality cannabis?

The things I noticed going from soil to coco were faster vegetative growth and bigger buds out of smaller pots of medium. Things like taste and potency didn't change.

were you using chem ferts with your soil though? just curious becuase i think the biggest change comes when using completely organic soil

I found when I went from coco to hydroton / clay balls plants grew a lot quicker and bigger. I was growing in coco for years before swapping to a new medium. also I started from seed last year and another member also started around the same time my plants where a week behind his and my plants where still a lot bigger and I don't give nutes for the first 2 weeks either.
