you will also need (but not quite yet) neem oil. Coco and mites have a love affair, neem oil keeps things in check.

DO NOT use pyrethrum.

 

I agree with Frank, I use A+B every feed, 

BUT I do not flush with water till the end of growing.

I flush during each feed by ensuring there is a decent amount of run-off when I water the plants, that helps to flush any built-up salts out of the coco.

 

Two ways to flush, neither wrong, just personal preference...

it's only important to flush if you are feeding your plants with strong nutrient solutions constantly. As for it being inert, on its own it is,but as any coco grower knows it holds salts..... try feeding straight nutrients for 2 weeks and then just water and test run off at the appropriate time - you will see it does retain nutrients.... As a new grower its quite common to overfeed, its the norm actually. A feeding of straight water once a fortnight wont hurt, hell maybe even once a week depending on the rate of the strength of nutes fed to the plants.
