The less oxygen the better. Oxygen is a highly reactive material. Remember oxygen will oxidize any chemical compounds present and render them pharmcologically inactive in a very short time.

I dont know if dessicant sachets actually remove oxygen do they? I thought they only attract moisture??

Best idea, Dry properly at low temps, heaps of airflow for a week and a half, or till dry, put in jars and burp the jars daily for 2-3 weeks , then check the weed for moisture, if OK, Vacuum seal the jar, that way ya buds dont get crushed and No Air, no nasties. Store in cool dry place.

Dessicants are goin to draw moisture, but not gonna help for storage, vacuum is better option.

Would you put some silica in the vaccum bags too Nibbler?

Hey guys,

 

Are there any other options for long term storage like liquid edible waxes that are put on fruits? Does anyone know? I think they get washed off before consumption but i was thinking how this would help stop crumbling in my bags.

If your buds are crumbling in your bag, you have used to much silica desiccant. Just leave your buds out in the open air for some time to let them re-hydrate again. Next time you store them use less silica desiccant.

silica is a great way to store weed long termz - i use it a bit. can re dry used silica in the oven 2 and reuse it

i use jars and containers but tbh it doesnt really stop my buds going to shit after a couple of months. wouldnt silica dry em out even more?
