an update on the result

 

Just to reclarify the problem, plants in flower cycle for 2 weeks (12/12), then 24 hour light for 9 days (not deliberate just a big stuff up from having lights on 'on' instead of auto)

 

ran flower cycle for an extra 2 weeks (10 instead of 8)

 

outcome: buds a little stringier and fluffier than normal (from regrowth) but otherwise smokes just as good, quantity was the same. No male flowers. Not something I would recommend trying, bet seems it recovers just fine (if plants have hermie tendencies it might be a bit of a  worry though)
