250ml will be all you need, you can use that to alter the NPK ratio of your power feed if you want. With that stuff with caution though its pretty powerful !

Canna usually recommends only using the stuff for the 5th week of flowering and only for 1 week - Generative Period II Development of the volume (breadth) of flowers or fruit.

Powerfeed has an NPK ratio of 12:1.4:7 - that makes it good for vegetation but not so good for flowering.

Id personally still buy a nute specifically targeted at flowering (as mentioned in my previous post), but that is not to say the PK 13/14 will to go waste.

Yeah, I was a bit blown by the pricing on a ltr of canna. There was some cheaper Aussie stuff, but that seemed on the cheap and nasty side so, an A-B two pack. There was some Dutch Master etc too but yeah, I figured that the pk would be an okay starting place even if its not ideally what I want/need.

With that pk, it seems very intense with the "only use for a week"

What happens if you use either a very small dose over a longer time, say like 1 or 2ml, over a few weeks?

I'm assuming things might go a little crazy? being an outdoor "in a pot" grow - in terms of even trying to "flush" anything out as far as the canna goes etc?

Stupid questions I know haha!

If you use it much for too long too long you risk burning your plants. Its strong stuff and very demanding of your plant. They sell to basically to alter the npk ratio of their main flowering nutes when the plant is at its highest demand for potasium(K) and phosphorus(P) as oposed to just feeding more main nutes which would be providing too much Nitrogen(N).

You could still use the stuff in small ammounts over a longer peroid of time to alter the NPK ratio of your powerfeed bit really the better thing to do would be to fork out the bux for canna terra flores and use the pk 13/14 for a week only as per the canna feed chart.

A 1 litre bottle of canna terra flores should set you back $35 tops. A litre bottle of pk 13/14 on the other hand is $45 so per ml the terra flores cheaper stuff.

Been eBay window shopping & comparing prices on the local so I'll get onto that this week too :)

Other than using Canna etc, what are more organic ways to go about feeding my plants? It sounds retarded but upto now I've pretty much just thought of it as "You make sure the water is fine, and then the plant grows" but haven't thought on how to feed the plant other than with whatever the soil has in it already (slow release ferts) and a bit of seasol. I guess there's a lot more to it haha!

Potash is a good source of potassium

Bone meal is a good source of phosphorus

Manures are generally high in nitrogen - can be used as a mulch too

Fish also generally high in nitrogen

Worm castings are magic - they will be high in whatever they were fed and are choc full of great microorganisms, they also make fun pets to keep :)

Organic growers strongly believe in creating, maintaining and feeding a soil food web, they also believe that feeding chemical nutes will kill this soil food web - microorganisms are your friends, they will break down organic matter that you put in your pots and make it available to the plants.\

Creating compost teas are also a great way to feed organically, with an air stone to help stop the tea from going anaerobic(without air) which stinks like all hell and doesn't contain micro-organisms that are healthy for you or your plant. The benefits of compost teas on the other hand are up for debate, i have done a lot of research and there is a lot of conflicting information on the subject.

Hopefully there is an organic grow head who will chime in and give you some tailored advice for your situation if you want to go that way.

That's how I use it in conjunction with Canna Coco A+B. Starting at 0.5ml/L once the plants are showing distinct pistil clusters... usually around 3-4 weeks in 12/12. Increasing the dose each week until 1.5ml/L, then stepping back down again to 0.5ml/L until the last week. During the last week prior harvest the plants get plain water.

to many cooks spoil the broth ... or something like that .... when somebody unfamiliar with cultivating cannabis or any plant for that matter are given advice that is entirely contradictory in nature; that is, when one user's advice is entirely contradictory of anothers... it is damn near impossible trying to piece together the puzzle. This will never allow for the attainment of APPROPRIATE information necessary for the goals of the aforementioned amateur gardener..... if you arent sure dont suggest advice.
