lighting question

ok so ive done some reading and grown some bagseed as a trial but now I am starting on some known seeds.

they have been under fluro light for about 4 weeks and have grown to about 10cm ist it to early to move them to my other room and put them under my other lights (600w hps), if not about how far should the lights be from the plant, and should I start them a bit higher then bring them down when the get used to it

sure , put them under the 600w right now please ... they can handle hps from day one

 

as for how close ... hold you hand, palm downwards, @ the height of the plant's uppermost leaves, if it feels comfortable thats a good distance ... if it feels hot on the back of you hand that is too close
