Flushing during the grow

Im using a recirc.

Ive been flushing the rootmass during the night cycle so as to use all the light cycle for growing.

Is this enough, or should a flush include some time under the lights? And if so how long.

H&G only reccomend 3 days at the end of a grow; ive been more inclined to stop nutes at week 7.0 (depending on maturinty) then flush for another week.

OR is it better to grow for the entire 8 weeks and add a week of flushing?

Everybody is different iTiC.

I flush for 7-8 days before harvest.

Some people are more, some less.

 

I can tell you once I didn't flush at all & I ended up with rubbery buds.

You say 8 weeks, I am yet to have a plant that is fully mature at 8 weeks and I ain't no noob.

You need to get yourself a microscope of some sort to check the trichs colouring for full maturity.

8 weeks ain't gonna do it, well not properly anyway.

Flushing every night seems like heaps of effort....

 

I flush every other weekend, gives me a chance to be up-close and personal with my ladies.

And flush at the end of grow too, usually a week to 10 days before harvest.

when im running in hydroton clay balls i flush with ph ajusted water onnce a week for a day then drop that and start a new batch of nutes.

yea i flush about every two weeks at the same time i would feed them , dunno if the light thing makes a difference ? .. cause i only feed once every 24hrs anyway unless its summer weather

cheers on the twofornightly thing - i heard that a regular change even without the "EC spike" was worth it on over all yeild cheers... Ive got the microscope check out my diary prev, i use a 400x digital USB I quote the 8 weeks coz its mentioned in the recipe given by H&G, I agree tho I havent have one finish at 8weeks, and I dont rekkon thsi one with be either, not one red hair and its week 6

TWF I know what you mean I rushed one of my plants and it burns black, and not entirely, That was my coco grow also. So I rekkon Coco would take longer to flush.

 

TY so now I'll flush for a day-ish including so time under the light to pull strainght pH ajusted water into the plant giving the veg a bit of a flush.... And defn change every 14 days.

Flushing in coco can be tricky I always flush as soon as the return e.c starts to creep. That normally happens every 14 days and then I'll run 3 x the pot size through each pot till the e.c returns at 0.4 or so. Good luck.

I dont flush during the grow, only the last 5-7 days. Maybe if I didnt use drip clean I would do it fortnightly.

CHeers El Gato- yeah Ive been using drip clean, so I may have been a little too keen. I thinkIll stick to 14 day flush and 7 days for recirc and 14 days for Coco.
