Lastly i dont go on to much hydroshop owners or workers have to say fuck ive been sold so many products over the years that were usless not worth the money and didnt benifit the garden 1 little bit>They want you to keep coming back thats how they make money alot of them flog off products that have good returns for them as well.

I agree with you there tartass. I've wasted too much money on snake oil products as well. But forums like these help with no nonsense advice and bullshit screening

like i said i had 1 nothing but problems hydro dealer sent them all back and did not get more in unreliable shit get a sylvania i think thats how you spell it i bought a new ballast shade etc then found out it was the globe the only thing i bought new spun me out as i thought it was the ballast /shade get rid of it

Just to correct a previous post I made, I've just found out that the new Sylvania super-gro 600W HPS are more efficient in lumens per watt terms than the same brands 1000W. So there you go. No more reason to buy 1000W except if space is an issue.

Good one mate 600 are good because they use less power but cover nearly as much as 1000 would smart choice good move sylvania are very reliable hope ya have better luck and to anyone thinking of buying sunmaster dont as shit unreliable hydro dealer doesnt want anything to do with them as he had heaps of complaints and returns goodluck everyone

Yeah, the 600's appear to be the way to go from an efficiency point of view, as well as being more even coverage.

1000 watters are waste...they went out in the mid 90s...I wouldnt touch one...In fact, I cant give em away these days...no one I know would bother with it...You can run 2 X 600s and cover twice the area with only an extra 200 watts.. and if you factor in light rails you can cover 4 times as much area...and the extra heat can actually have negative impact on your sluts..
