good movies to watch when stoned

Struth Dr. Dee, "The Year of Living dangerously", man you nearly knocked me off my perch withthat one. Choice movie that, watched it stoned just a few weeks back, but it's an ol fave of mine I have tucked away here I watch it periodically. Stoned or not, excellent stuff.

Lots of grouse flicks listed here, but if the idea is movies that rock when ya bent; I gotta say "Kinky Boots" is great if you're looking for something tolaugh at. I've seen it straight and it's "so so", but stoned it cut me to pieces.

Probably already mentioned on here already, one of my all time faves is "Wonder Boys". Micheal Douglas, Tobey Maguire, Katie Holmes, Robert Downey Jn. Frances McDormand anf another great actor in it I can't think of his name right now. Just an absolutely shit top notch movie. Story about a smoker teacher in a college who wrote a top seller novel and struggles the rest of his life unable to re-create the "one hit wonder" he wrote, and lives kinda inhis own shaddow. A weekend thatgoes really wrong for him, kinda the complete opposite of "Fear and Loathing" in some ways, and very similar outcomes in others.

Apart from that, American Beauty, and of course Fear and Loathing, talking with Oz the other day and we both remembered "Thin Red Line"; an excellent movie based on the war in Taipan (I think that's where it was), btu it's far from a basic war movie. Pretty seriously introspective.

cheers

Thin red line was brilliant. Set in the second world war and I think shot in North Queensland? American Beauty was great too.

Also enjoyed "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and a few others that had the same kind of feel. Beautiful photography, kind of artsy martial arts.

I also enjoyed a couple of the Japanese anime directed by Miyazaki like "Howls moving castle" and "Spirited away".
