Hi there 200sx, that's a lovely looking plant ya got there. The leaves would denote a heavy dose of Indica genetics, but the fact is most modern strains are so complex and crossed out that you'd be hard pressed to be able to get a straight indica or sativa strain... let alone direct from a bag of buds.

One thing, watch these plants for hermaphroditism, as there is a risk that any buds containing seed, was fertilised by itself, which would code for hermaphroditsim for the seed when it grows. So keep a close eye out for balls on stalks to show up... They may appear later in the grow, it's unfortunate but a part of growing unknown bagseed.

I'm not saying you won't get a great harvest, nor am I saying that that particular plant, (who looks really nice btw) is going to go hermie on you, but you should be aware that the risk is higher. Still, you'll get a shiteload of experience with growing plants so it won't be a total loss even if it does go hermie... and even then you'll get buds, just not as good as it could be...

But I digress. If I had one thing to pick with the grow it's light, it looks like you've got the plant blocked from a large proportion of sunlight by trees... Cannabis can grow well in indirect sunlight, but if you can, perhaps lessen the amount of overhang and try and get more light in there. If it's just too hot then it's okay, but light is really one of the primary factors which will influence your yeild.

The pot looks a little on the small side, as this plant is only just beginning it's cycle to flower. You would be able to take it to flower in that, but you could do no harm to drop the plant, carefully, into a larger pot and filling in.... "dropping on" it's called. The less you damage and stress the root ball/mass in the process the better, although I imagine that since you've got a small seedling next to the larger pot, and this is in a tiny pot, you've already learned this. ;)

Keep the moisture and nutrients up to the plants as they flower, and you should do well. If you have any other problems, just ask, we're here to help....

I'm kinda embarrased that there have been no replies to this topic... c'mon guys, let's help this person out...Point out all the mistakes and inconsistencies in my posts and completely disagree with me, confusing and confounding 200sx until he has an information overload! hee hee.. just kidding...

Take it easy mate, hope thiis helps. ;)

hey thanks for the reply,

if i do end up getting a hermie by chance, when the balls and stalks appear, should i remove them, so its not to seed the female part of the plants, and i can still get some decent bud off her?

would there be any way to speed up and initiate mature flowering, as i dont think this plant will be ready till like late april? if im correct it will be much harder in that month for me to care for her, so id like to finish her up a bit sooner if possible.

cheers guys

Yes you can but if you miss one flower then you will get a heap of hermie seed, you would also risk pollinating any other plants you or anyone in the area are growing.

..If it is only a slightly hermie influence that produced your seed, or it was pollunated slightly by a true male pollun......I'd get that thing in the ground, or in a larger pot. It will be worth your while if it's a true female. I only got 1 seed outta 1lb /1/2 of bud from a clone, so- that could even have been from a male flower inside the bud...

..That seed turned out female, so in a sense.,..the plant could have pollunitaed itself..creating a feminised seed......

Lots of people tend 2 avoid these seeds, as they have high hermie tendencies (even though they are ridiculously expensive..)

..As your buds form into snowballs, you'll soon see if it's gonna b a worthless hermie...you'll see the balls....If not...you be lucky and have a great harvest...wish i'm sure U will.....
