Small indoor growing tips

I am looking at starting a small grow in my bedroom cupboard-

the most experience i have in gardening or growing anything is a tomato plant i have had in the garden since i was about 22 (am now 28) i water it and it produces fruit (shrug)

 

If anyone could list the basic of basic essentials, it would be fantastic

Things to think about are lighting, space, medium, temp control and growing style. How much you need to grow is an important thing to know also

agreed have fun shopping for a seed, if u use bag seed u have no idea how she will go. It might und ep being a monster youd have little to no hope of growing in a cupboard.

youll need ventilation and lighting, fans can be noisy; if that matters so spend the $$ an get a good one. The main things that can have ur cupboard discovered is smell 9so youll need a carbon filter) light (youll need panda plastic to light proof everyting and sound (fan, pumps etc)

The CanFan 100R is fairly quiet and should vent any cubouard type grow. if your vented right you should be able to use 400w.

From nearly everyting Ive read CFL's sound like a good idea and can grow a nice plant but it will be reduced in teh turpins so it wound be less potent, whats the fucken point right! So if your worried about heat use a MH bulb, if you have a nice cool place then run HPS fpr flower, if you live on the usn then youll need a 3k MH bulb to flower with.

Ventilation is more important than you realize - fresh air is a MUST.

AJ is right there you can never have too much airflow, and in small grow area's it's even more critical.

Auto flowering plants are ideal for growing in confined spaces, because they don't get too big.

 

You need to download some info and do a LOT of reading then come back here and ask about specifics.

There is a massive amount of knowlege to growing Hydroponics sucessfully, and it's not cheap to set things up.

 

You are looking at around $150 just for a decent fan and ducting let alone ferts,lighting pumps,res,PH meter,plumbing,powerboards,

Well ya get the picture.

i reckon use bagseed for your first grow.. there is a good chance things will go paer shaped at some stage..

Hey brother don't stress about your first grow. You will make heaps of mistakes but learn from them all. It is a process that you must go through to succeed in growing.. You can grow in a small cupboard or closet with cfl globes and get great results from your first grow . You would not believe how easy it is. If you live near a bunnings warehouse your laughing. CFL globes are really cheap and do a great job if used correctly. Ventalation is important but really not as importand as people have been stressing to you (for a small scale grow) If you are home often you can leave the door of the growroom open while your home and have a small fan running 24hrs a day in the grow space. A small space in the grow room will allow enough air to support 1 or 2 plants. You can yeild a great amount of weed if you prune your plants correctly .
