Low Watt Lights

Recommended Posts

Tks Kimba

They sound like the lights I saw in a grow unit called Sun Cell Growbox reviewed on a POT TV grow show episode. The digital ballasts eliminate the flicker of standard & compact flouros that effect the growth of plants.

This guy was running heaps of these boxes using these lights and because there was stuff all heat, you don't need heavy duty ventilation (you still need some of course) so the cabs are virtually silent running.

I reckon these lighting kits will soon dominate the market for small scale personal growers due to the low heat emmissions that dog wardrobe growers so much. It will take time as if you've invested in a HID setup (like me) then you have to get a couple of grows out of it before selling to get some return on investment but once thats achieved you would have to seriously consider these as a great alternative.

Good shit Kimba :)

thanks for the info kimba. It wasn't going to be long until a better alternative to HID came out IMO. Afterall, any light that produces so much heat obviously leaves a lot of room for improvement in terms of efficiency. I've seen impressive bud grown with just normal compact fluoros, so why not. be interesting to see if they are good enough to take over HPS/MH lights.

someone should email that link to all the major hydroponics stores in Australia, maybe they will start to stock them. Nothing like a new fad to boost business ;)

trhnx 4 link Kimba..

Ive just had a quick look and I saw they use the T-5 Technology fluros. Kick arse.

Ive been looking for these babies to hit the Aussie market for some time now. I looked around the local metro area and noone knew of an aussie Distributor for them, plus they said the price was kinda steep.

How much these 200w lights going for?

Please edit this reference to dealing out. ;) Thanks mate.

It wasn't intended to be a reference to dealing out; I'm not into that at all. I meant producing enough weed for my own personal stash (over time) that is equal to the cost of my set-up [Buying as opposed to growing]

But I'll edit it for you anyways

It's cool man, I can remove it but I don't think it's necessary. I'm not too sure why it wouldn't let ya edit it tho, although I think there are going to be some changes vis-a-vis editing of posts around here soon. Anyway, thanks for clearing that up, this isn't a site to teach people how to become dealer growers, only to assist people to leave the black market by growing for themselves.... like yourself.

But yeah, the envirolights, (after a bit more looking) do look good, I wouldn't mind using a couple on the outer canopies of my grow... still, if they've got the penetration... (that's one thing I couldn't find...) Keep us updated... ;)
