what do u mean shopping list why did u "spend heaps of money on lights" if u dont knw what your doing?

If your growin in soild the advice u where given is all u need. And your shoppin list would look like this.

1) seeds

2) pots

3) soil

maybe a thermometre for your room and a ph tstr kit for the soil.

You expecting some huge arser list when its not needed unless doing things hydroponically then things chang a ltitle.

All u are doing is replacing the sun with your lighting.

Hardly a sophisticated grow op requiring fancy metres and testing equiptment.

... i wouldnt suggest indoor with soil (too messy) but yeah, the artificial light your using replaces sun light. You NEED fans to replace the oxygen the plants feed on & fans to replace the oxygen that was consumed by the plant (( one fan sucking air in & one sucking air out ))
