Yeah, but tapwater can be used well enough if you have to. Rainwater is the best IMHO though, but that may be coz I'm a hippy orchid grower.

rain water depends on where you are,

Around here we get alot of acidic rain and this would be useless in a grow.

 

Nutrients manufactures are actually starting to instruct people to use tap water.

 

Tap water cant be that bad as it regulated control, and the chlorine well all that does is acts like H202 and is also a requires trace element.

 

I have used tap water for all of my grows and its never caused problems.

I fill up the containers straight from a tap. It doesnt sit to evap at all.

 

I always thought that R/O water was the best but since reading about it I have learned that R/O water is shit, mainly because it contains nothing for the plant in the way of trace elements etc.

 

If your tap water is under 300ppm and ph of around 7 then use it. Its designed to be safe for people to consume so how can it be bad.

Would love to keep using rainwater,When i mix the Bloom booster in,It goes under 5,I dont have ph up either bummer

I was using rain water during veg,Had no probs with ph Now using tap water Ive noticed Slight leaf claw on a few leaves after doing this hope it doesnt get worse

what nutrients are you using?? maybe time to change as most manufactures these days are making nutes especially to use tap water.

It even says on the instructions to add tap water.
