My current grow

Hey all my girls have just about run out of room in there pots and thay are in there 2nd week of bud, would it freak them out too much it i trans planted them now into bigger pots and how long would it set them back, or should i just leave them, i gess thay have about another 2 weekd befor that out grow there pots so what do ya think i should do, thanks for the help

Thos pots look good enough for the size of plant theyre holding to me. You can use a product that will clear up some of the dead roots so the plant can keep rooting but I forget what the product is called - the hydro shop will know or someone else can tell you from here.

Hey all just me againe , i am starting some new seeds off to day i got off a mate thay are KC33 x KUSH & DP PS (not sure what 1 is waiting to find out) i am going to start them off under 2 18w cf and next week when i get payed i am going to get a 48w cf and want to grow them until my current grow is finnished (that will be in about 6 weeks ) how big will thay get in about 6 weeks, do u think thay will be big enough to put them under the strait into 12/12 or maby a week of 18/6 under the hid then turn to 12/12, any advice and tips weuld be grate.

48W CF is really bright - 100W of light. My 48W CF kicks my 70W MH lights arse for lighting but the HID is helping to make bigger leaves than what my flouros did even though the bulb isnt very good.

 

Id expect them to be have 8 or so bushy nodes by then if all goes well. Youll probably see some shock even if your HID is 3' above the plants as flouros are weak. I think you should give them a taste of the HID for a few hours per day after their 3rd node so that the initial fan leaves arent stunted at all - itd be a hassle but Im sure itd make the plants more happy.

 

What are these buds like youre going to photograph? Stinky, colourful, huge? Cant wait for the pics - Im a budshot calendar collector from way back.

 

Speaking of budshots - I seen a book years ago with pictures of crops that had been photographed by Aussie coppers from the air and from up close [from clandestine drug operations - heh]. It was a big hardback with about 150 pages and brilliant colours. Supposedly it was used by cops for identifying plants and crops and it had heaps of crop/headshots and descriptions. Id love to have that book - some of you probably have it and Im jealous. I was off the wacky baccy at the time so I dont know what it was now but it was great.

A 48w CF puts out 48watts of light. It's the equivalent of 250 incandescent globe. A 20w is the equiv of a 100w.

Hey Ill go with that Luke a shade isnt necessary also since its so damn bright in a small space but go for it if you only want to use one bulb IMHO [heat resistant plastic only so it doesnt get hot and cost too much]. Edited November 26, 2003 by Wilderbud

ok thanks dudes i think i will go with the 48w cf and see how things go and if going a bit slow i will put the 2 18w cf in as well, but yer i will prob give them at least a week under the HID 18/6 before turning to 12/12.

Hey 2 weeks to day into bud and comeing on very nicely, the G13 it a bit over a foot tall and got a lil too close to the light and got a lil burnt, well the first sines of heet stress from being too close but she is ok, the 2 GWS anr just under a foot tall and all 3 are are starting to get some nice lil buds comeing all over them, in the way of smell the first weel there was a slite skunky smell to them but now there is very lil smell to them (witch is something i like with havein a copper liveing just up the road ) but i cant smell very well at the moment but my gf tells me that she cant smell them, that is the 1 thing she freaks about the smell so no smell and my gf is happy , the buds are about the size of a marble and getting bigger by the day, shit i cant wait until harvest time .
