syk613 Posted October 18, 2003 Report Share Posted October 18, 2003 puting on weight is basically supply and demand so if you find yourself wanting to loose weight become more active, and around 20 mins 6 times a week of exercise that increses your heart rate to around 75% of max for your age will also improve your heart and lung fitness ie your aerobic performance, this info is freely available on the web but I found it at my local park, but it is age dependant and of course fitness level dependant. ie so fitter ppl will have to work hrder to increase there HR and improve there aerobic performance. However a 20 min walk a day helped me to loose 15 kg and I am almost at my target weight.
