my new cactii

Recommended Posts

Nice cacti Phreakah, I'm wondering if the peyote are fully seed grown or degrafted and if you don't mind how much you paid for them? I have both pedro and pervian outdoors in pots and in the ground. If you get a lot of rain I would move the pots under cover for a while. I water my peyote fairly regularly except for over winter, and occasionally I give them some hydro nutes when I empty out the system. One thing to be careful of is if you let your cacti get fairly dry over winter you shouldn't give them a big watering at first as they may swell and split.

Thanks for sharing, I love cacti.

Naycha :peace:

p.s they are called ribs Bueg :bongon:

Generally the way i try to tell lophs that have been grafted from seed grown is looking for damage around where the pups have come out. Seed grown plants grow slower and dont tend to tear the skin as much... Apart from that how can you really tell ?

picked up this beauty today for 10 bucks - nice lady also threw in a chewed up but really nice looking plant for my mother

she didnt know the name of it - 75% sure its san pedro or something similar - at least 80cm tall (~2.5 ft )

This one is a Cereus Peruvianus, edible fruit but not active. 99% sure. The ribs are too skinny.
