seedling question

Tap roots can be stunted and small on hydroponic plants as their development is not necessary for good growth... Soil grown, (not in pots, although this does make for a larger tap if direct sown) plants in good soil will have a noticeable one, sometimes a bloody huge one as the plant searches for nutrients and produces a micro climate in the soil.

Sorry WC, but I have seen many taproots on cannabis, it doesn't mean that all plants have substantial ones, in fact I think the indica race may well be stunted in that regard because of their relatively small height... but I know they have taproots man. They can still grow with a stunted one and a more fibrous root system providing most of the stabilistation, but I've torn apart many a root system and seen them there, at the heart of the matter so to speak, sometimes like a carrot, sometimes like a twisted piece of ginseng which has been dried out... but they're there...
