marijuana is cancer cure?

Recommended Posts

What fascinates me is that some people would openly consume all the opium or heroin derivatives a doctor will pop down their throat yet baulk at the idea of consuming cannibinoids. Having watched run from the cure recently and have recently lost a very dear friend to cancer, and nearly lost another. It angers me that these people could have had a better time if they had access to high grade oil.

Sadly cannabis carries with it a great stigma, although I'm wondering whether this will change given the stance the average baby boomer has on MJ.

I think we will see the acceptance of medical cannabis sooner than later.

why people will do only what the doctor says ... and hundreds of thousands are addicted to pharmaceuticals as a result ... is because in the main people are afraid to think outside the box. for a sense of security most people do what the majority do. they are afraid to stand out from the crowd.

for example have you ever watched a child deal with a curly question? s/he will often look around at the adults seeking a clue to the way s/he SHOULD answer rather than seeking an answer from within themselves (I don't want to overlook children's spontaneous truth-telling here ... but it's obvious spontaneity withers with age).

another example is when we join a group we try to learn the group's norms as quickly as possible so that we can FIT IN ... we want to IDENTIFY with the others.

the reason for this is because, altho we like to think we think ( ! ) most of the time we are not thinking, we are responding automatically in the way we learned to do as children. (Family may be seen as a sub-set of the human herd.)

now, I 'm not insulting my herd here. I 'm talikng about evolution. and I 'm pointing out that the largest part of our brain is the mammalian part.

the smallest part, our brain stem, is reptillian. it is concerned only with food, shelter sex and FEAR.

overlaying the brain stem are the mammalian parts which are concerned with needing to belong, having family.

and over that are the thinking parts which deal with solving complex solutions and needing to be wise.

However, like all organisms we are inclined to rest so that we save energy ... and we save energy by relying on learned (automatic) responses. considering matters anew each time costs us energy. thinking makes us tired!

the only time we act as individuals (move outside the herd) is when we consider things anew. then we have left the area of automatic herd-response. and that is a place that scares the hell out of most of us. when we find ourselves alone we seek security by retreating back into fear! sorry to say so, but this is evident if you care to observe.

so social change is slow. like herd beings we look for pathfinders to follow.

you can be a pathfinder! what's stopping you?

just thought I 'd say all that ... CHEERS!

Thanks for posting that is here mongyman. Everyone please do their bit a sign the petition for their state or territory.

Demistify your comment is interesting and im sad to say i believe it to be true too. History is the best way to predict the future and judging by history it will take a long time even though there are so many supporters out there. I know quite a lot of people who would be in support of med can but would never publicly state that let alone put their name and address on a petition. what else does it come down to but fear? :scratchin:

Thank you buzz, I agree the more noise the better.

Those Aspareganase(i don't know either!) things are god awful. That's one of the really horrible things. Its not just chemo, its also the steroids, the injections, the antis and then everything else they give to counteract side effects. That is why it needs to change. If we can have something there that kills cancer cells and and leaves other cells intact, it doesn't just mean no chemo but it also means none of those other medications, it also means less time spent immune deficient which means less time in hospital and back to a normal life sooner. People of all ages deserve quality of life.

Sorry about being so emotional last night, i think it was just one of those nights.

night guys

naomi

ps. Why is there no nodding emoticon? How am i meant to nod in agreement? :ermm:

Wow! There are so many things I want to comment on in that video. I wonder if that person pushing the anti message has ever though about what negative effect the chemical therapies these children currently receive are having long term on their developing minds. It needs to be weighed up. You can't push an idea that strongly but deny every other factor that comes into it. The boy in the video looks really happy and healthy now, when you think about the amount of pharmaceuticals and chemical therapies this boy has consumed, then for arguments sake, there is also the medical marijuana which is going to do so much damage to his growing body, I bet he will grow up having a normal life. There are probably many children out there who have not had any of those things pass through their system who will have far more developmental problems through school than this young boy will.

I think this video is fantastic though. When we got home after the first month in hospital after diagnosis, the first thing I did was research medical marijuana in children. I don't know if i just wasn't looking hard enough but I could not find anything. In my head I was thinking ok I know there is a cure, I have it in the house, wtf do I do?!?! I had no one to talk to about it (other than hubby) and could not find other people at the time who were talking about it. I felt really lost. If I had seen videos like this one and read messages of support that are in here I would have gone for it straight away.

You guys really are awesome for putting all these things up!
