try a pet shop, cheaper than hydro stores. I got mine for $70 from memory. but I may have my wires crossed, I bought it months ago and have a really bad memory.

this is for outdoor boys, a lot of Nurseries will test your soil for nothing. you just take along a sample and tell em you are gunna grow tomatoes or egg plant

both need the same nutes as mj. then tell en ya need the nutes to get the soil up to scratch. you win they win every body happy

I'd go with eggplant if you're worried, tomatoes are too easily recognised as stoner speak for mj.

Seriously, ph meters are probably worth it, but it depends on the grow. If you work with multiple plants/clones and you're regularly adjusting and testing, then an electronic meter would be the best bet. But for the average cupboard grow, where there are only a few, if not only one plant, then the indicator types should do.

 

I'm really interested in these $70-$80 ph meters, are they accurate, and what's the brand name? I've heard many bad things about crappy, cheap ph meters, and not from those selling them either. If you guys could link to where you picked up these meters, I'm sure there will be many of us who may consider upgrading....

Dick Smiths for $90, have bought 2 now (1 for mate), both work a treat @ keeping my PH @ 5.8, can notice how my girls love it (no fucked leave shapes etc.)

Ive got 1 plant @ moment in cupboard, 1/2 length light rail, air cooled hood, 400w veg, 600w flowering and I get 17 or 18 ounces every 3 months making sure my PH is right every couple days, with the temp. @ the best I can do with air-con.

I digress, , back to PH meter, Dickies own brand, cat# Q1416.
