Red Devil :)

And so it came that the outcast, condemned, crazed and maniacs grew Hemp - Like that of the "Red Devil "... the gospel according to the Greenhouse Seed Company

Grow it, smoke it, and you will know - where heaven is...

The 5 senses of Red Devil :)

Smell: A full flavored pure Indica. It permeates the essence of rich sweetly smelling flowers - rich in aromas.

Taste: A full aromatic, slightly sweet mouth watering sensation... Good enough to eat.

Touch: Incredibly tight flower formation, that defines density. Of course it is sweetly - sticky and has a horny - shape appearance.

Visual: Strong dark green leaf that holds its main flower with strong stemmed security. In the dry form its flower has a tendency to have a red aura.

Stone Effect: Typical to the Indica range. It tends to sweetly stone you to inner space on a conscious journey. It is made for wayfarer and cybernauts.

Family Heritage: Afghani X Afghani Skunk

Vegetative Time: This plant needs to be grown longer than most other - of the Greenhouse family! So I suggest a 3 week minimum light cycle of 18 hours. Then you will expect a substantial flower.

Flowering Time: The Greenhouse Red Devil lol will finish flowering after 9-10 weeks. Outdoors you can expect a late, but excellent crop from this handsome species.

Achievements: Highly Recommended for Outdoor. Will be finished by beginning of November or late October in the north. In the south hemisphere finished by July. A very large yield is expected. The Red will be understood at harvest

heres the site i got this from and you can get seeds here good luck :)

Spot on, Yield. I was growing devil in the late 90's. My clones came from the Angels and they it was shit hot! :) Had a batch that went hermie & threw a shitload of fem seeds. Outdoors it was absolutely kickarse. People lines up for it 'cause it left 'em gaga! Sadly I lost the last of the seeds & as far as I know the strain as it was is gone!!! :) There is a listing in the seed sites for a "Red Devil" but it don't look the same.

the original red devil clone only still floats around, but havent heard of any of the original seed stock gettn around anymore :nea:

the original pheno had a strawberry aroma with strong strawberry/earthy flavor......

it had lengthy leaves, almost sative like, but fatter.

the calyxes would swell up huge when left to mature and the pistils are very red.

the crowns averaged out at roughly 7" long and had good weight.

finished in 8 weeks indoor.

the stone is out of this world...extremly strong :faint:

a lot of people claim to have red devil these days, but raised from seed...not the original clone only, specific pheno :nea:

omg, you still dont get it lol LMFAO

i`ll try once more :faint:

raised from seed...not the original clone only, specific pheno

do you understand what that means? ... clone only, specific pheno.... phenotype...NOT genotype

substitue the word "organism" for the word "plant" in the following quote and you might understand what im talking about when it comes to preserving the original pheno..

The distinction between phenotype and genotype is fundamental to the understanding of heredity and development of organisms. The genotype of an organism is the class to which that organism belongs as determined by the description of the actual physical material made up of DNA that was passed to the organism by its parents at the organism's conception. For sexually reproducing organisms that physical material consists of the DNA contributed to the fertilized egg by the sperm and egg of its two parents. For asexually reproducing organisms, for example bacteria, the inherited material is a direct copy of the DNA of its parent. The phenotype of an organism is the class to which that organism belongs as determined by the description of the physical and behavioral characteristics of the organism, for example its size and shape, its metabolic activities and its pattern of movement.

It is essential to distinguish the descriptors of the organism, its genotype and phenotype, from the material objects that are being described. The genotype is the descriptor of the genome which is the set of physical DNA molecules inherited from the organism's parents. The phenotype is the descriptor of the phenome, the manifest physical properties of the organism, its physiology, morphology and behavior.

The concepts of phenotype and genotype also demand the distinction between types and tokens. As the words “genotype†and “phenotype†suggest, these are types, sets of which any given organism and its genome are members, sets defined by their physical description. Any individual organism and its genome are members of those sets, tokens of those types.

When your working with hundreds of different phenos, every so often a fucking gem materialises. A clone only phenotype, so potent.. so stinky.. so devine that it's considered an elite specimen. Some of the commerical strains today stem from these phenotypes. Freaks, plants that are phenotypically elite over an other. In the human species we see individuals who are taller then other people, smarter then other people or more attractive then other people. This is particularily the case with cannabis which has a much shorter lifecycle. But with beauty does not allway come intelligence. I.e Cheese, is an UK clone that was a phenotype so special in that it has no ceiling. You can smoke it everyday and develop very little tolerance, the stone from this strain was conisdered something elite when compared to other varieties. Another example is the strain Big Bud, this was as strain developed that yeilded so much more bud then any other variety, however the Trichome content was not as high as its other strain business counter parts. The same can be said for many other strains. To this day the most potent bud I have smoked has come from a bag seed sativa that was very poor yeild, very poor taste. However the high was something out of an alice and wonderland feature film. Amazing. Be good to see the devil in all its glory and I look forward to smoke testing the "original" specimens when they make their appearances on the forum like yours delta, whether they are the orginal or not, thanks for keeping us posted :bongon:

Please note, I am non partial in the arguement that goes on. I am not going to start taking sides anytime soon. I will be putting my hand up however to try the "red devil" in everyones instances. And it shall be interesting to see whether it is as good as a the hype that is associated with its name

Thankyou

Facts:

- Cannabis has a much shorter lifecycle then a human being. It can be manipulated 200 times faster then the human species just by natural selection.

- There are phenotypes (individuals like you and me) of the cannabis species.. that stand out in a particular way. Many of which stem into the modern day strains that form our seed banks largely because of their yeild or potency etc.

- For instance, take 100 plants into consideration, there might be one which is more favourable then the rest purely on the basis of potency.

- I am willing to bet that Red Devil is a bit like that or was in its time. The italian mafia were said to have grown large amounts mango heads to boost its marketing capabilities, so there was alot of it around and everyone became famliar with its smell , since nearly every aussie has a good idea what a mango fruit is etc it was a good phenotypical choice as a clone to grow large amounts as a commercial strain. It's probably a similar scenario with Red Devil, The Angels would have been looking for a good clone or strain to produce in large amounts.

I keep thinking about it, I can't get the devil out of my head lol and would really like to smash down a few cones of everyones examples too see what it's like :console: . I have smoked my fair share of commercial Adelaide bud (or supposedly so) even here in QLD, it can make its way up here and is usually pretty average red hair, indoor kinda gear. Whether it is red devil or more to the point commercial adelaide hooch is something debatable.

Anyhow, I shall wait patiently for the opportunity
