H2o2 is no good, the only reason for it is to aerate your water, and air is much better for this, It is no good for cleaning as it leaves residue, and plants don't really like it much, air is much better.

And for cleaning, use steam , wash em out in water and then steam them good.

 

And Rattdogg, why epsom salts? the point of epsom salts is to provide sulphur and magnesium, and your nutes should have plenty.

And can you tell me more about the 16hr light period, is it 16/8 or not a 24hr one?

Yeah, h2o2 may be no good for healthy plants but it can make a difference to ones that are sick from microbial infections etc...there's advice on how to apply it on overgrow...I just said that because it's known to be effective especially against fungal infections which can be really hard to shake off...it passes on from mother to clone an shit...

 

maybee it would be better to start off from scratch, sterilise all your equipment with boiling water and or bleach, light proof those res's and start again...looks like you could get back to that stage after about only two weeks in vege with a healthy system...what do you think white cluster?

One reason that so many US growers use Epsom salts for its mg boost is that they cannot buy mj specific nutrients from their local hydro shop like we can, they have to add extras to the nutrients that they can buy.

Alrighty, thanks Tom I understand, Feel sorry for them americans.

 

And yeah Putard, I guess H2O2 is good for that reason, its good for cleaning too, as long as you soak it out. I can give some directions on how to use it,

for the 3% H2O2 from a chemist use 50ml per 5ltr for cleaning, and with Oxyclear use 20ml per 5ltr. But soak it out a heap of times after that.

For sterilizing plants use max of 10ml (3%) per 5ltrs.

this is bad for your plants though, don't do it for fun.

But fix the Ph. of the water before you put it on your plants, It'll be real acid.

 

I haven't used the stuff much, I used to use it when I first started growing indoors, it makes the plants grow better yeah, but I worry about residual effects. Nothing can provide air like air, maybe it will sterilise your lungs when you smoke it.

I would not scrap your PVC setup. Use it to do a sog grow, put a few more smaller netpots in it, veg the plants a week or two, then flower them.

The reason why you could be having root rot problems is water airation.Make sure you cahnge your water regulary and keep the water moving.

I try to maintain PH levels between 5.8 - 6.8, level 6.3 is what i aim for. I havent had any probs with my plants using this PH level,...is this right?

6.3 is meant to be the optimal ph range for cannabis but more nutrients are available in a lower ph, I usually go for about 5.5 to 6, but only for bubblers.

Yeah, I run a ph of 6.3, that's what it tests at so I don't bother altering it as the plants seem happy enough with it.
