Then down the road for some exhaust fans...

hey azza,

 

yeah you can buy fluoros from hardware stores. Compact fluoros are good and I found buying a cheap lamp and smashing it up to use the lamp chord for the light was cheaper than buying a lamp holder by itself.

 

Also I don't know how expensive Ikea is, but at bunnings they have some double door cabinets for about $130 from memory.

you should have a look at a couple of bigger op shops

i got a large 2 door cupboard which is like new for $50 delivered to my door

and if you want new i would check out the cupboards and cabinets in bunnings

hi Azza...i have to agree with the others here that son-t is far to much 4 that small box if you cant get a larger box straight away then get yourself a 160w hps @only$20 a globe and go into a standard bayonet fitting

you could do 2-4 plants under it untill u r ready with other box.................cheers and gl..WS

All three baggy seeds have sunk, I'm just playing with these until my clones arrive.

 

Things Doing Tommorrow

 

- 300mm Exhaust Fan..

- Buy Desk Fan, For Bulbs...

- Padlock for door.

- Something to monitor temp...

- Maybe a PH monitor.

looks good m8 keep the good work going this could be helpfull to many new growers hope it goes good for you.

The light is still a bit powerful for the space but the fan should keep the cabinet cool, don't forget that you need inlet vents as well.

 

You are also going to seal the door against light leaks, you can get self-adhesive seals at a hardware or Kmart.

What are you going to use for drainage catchment? I mean when you water, what are you going to use after the water goes thru the pots? and get rid of the wastes in the catchment?
