Need holiday

Has anyone got any ideas?

I have a month off work coming up soon and want to get away.

At that time I will have 2 plants in veg 4 weeks old.

I wanted to go away for 2 or 3 days, come back for a week then go again for

2 or 3 days. I am not keen on leaving any type of power source on. Is it possible

to leave the plants in darkness for the 2 x 2 or 3 days without doing any damage.

Does anyone have any suggestions which don't involve leaving power on, does anyone know

how long they can stay in the dark for? Would I be better off going once for five days instead

of hitting them with the 2 dark periods? Any help or info on this type of thing would be much

appreciated.

Regards

g'day; the warehouse sells analog timers for $5 each, digital timers for $10 each, ya have no excuse not to get 1......i would recommend you use fluoro only while your on holiday, it runs cooler, feed plants (if in pots) until tray under pot has about 1/2" water/nutrient etc, i would not recommend leaving them in the dark for more than 2 days or 3 days unless you want them to start flowering, if you do turn lights off for too long then return light cycle to veg then you will more than likely send them HERMIE!

Thanks for all info. I like Logger King's idea about the filtered light in the bathroom, what if I put

them in the laundry and leave the laundry light on, it is a 2 x 36 watt 4 foot fluoro, will this be enough

to keep it in veg. Trouble is it would have to stay on 24 hours a day as I am talking about the hardwired

fluoro. I have plenty of timers ( digital $55), the idea is not to have any power on while I am not there.

hey there aussie1

just use a timer dude and if ya really wanna be careful ya can also use a surge protecter as well and should be sweet as i wouldnt leave them for 3 days in darkness is there anyway you can leave them outside or maybe leave a blind half open and direction a mirror to get more light

but if ya really have to 3 days should be fine
