super spreader does it work?

i used one the old style (white) it blocks a % of the light so the canopy grows even i tossed it out

If you're using cool tubes ot ducted shades there's not much point in using them as they are meant to block the heat and relfect the light off your shade back onto the plants. If your growbox is light tight and there is no wasted light they might be good.

how do they work?.. so the holes allow some light through, the rest is reflected back up into the shade? you would want a really good shade then..polished aluminum or something, so nothing is lost.

I've used both the white and silver small and large super spreaders and to answer your question yes they do allow you to get your lights closer. For example if your lights are currently 2ft above your canopy then with the super spreaders you should be able to get them to about 1ft above your canopy.

 

The idea of course is that in getting your lights closer you will increase your yeild however this is really much of a muchness, what you will notice though is a much more even and deeper growth through out your room.

 

It should probably also be mentioned that the super spreaders are designed to be used with the adjust-a-wings (known as adjust-a-shades by Ablite) only and using them with any other shade is pointless as they just don't work as they are designed to.
