I bought that ph meter you posted from ebay. It has a cord that sits in ur tub, and is battery operated. I have a milwakee one too, and they never seem to read the same. I suspect the one i got from ebay fluctuates too much. It's a cheapie. And if you have a 200ltr barrel, the cord doesn't reach to the bottom. Soon as I have some spare $ i'll be getting either another milwakee one or a bluelab. You get what you pay for with ph meters i believe.

Waste of money. When i calibrated it, it would read 7.00. But it wasn't actually acurate when you're trying to get it to read 5.6 or anywhere around there. I was running my ph way too low for couple of weeks because of it. Only reason i know this, is cos i tested the same nutes with two other more expensive ph readers.

You certainly do get what you pay for when it comes to scientific instruments like pH and E.C. meters....

 

A good idea is to always have a liquid pH test kit floating around. That way if you're unsure about the accuracy of your pen, you can compare it to a liquid test which is accurate to within .2-.5. Flairform makes a good one, but there are other brands out there too.

hi mate that will be fine , but i would say you will only get what you pay for...you now can get a bluelab ph truncheon that will be a little bit more money but it will last a life time..
