electric kool aid acid test

Recommended Posts

read this about 30 years ago , by Ken keseyi think . another beauty is Ringolevio by (again i'm guessing) Emmet Grogan (not as in poo type grogan) . set around haight ashsbury. supposedly the word hip came from a group calling itself the haight ashbury independant. probably not right on any count but it was a long time ago . good insights into hippy days & lsd culture way back then .bit of music history too .

yeah wikid, oldman...

I am reading a book at te moment called "acid dreams" goes right into the merry prankters, the grate ful dead.. did you know jerry garcia was cia??? not officially.... but he was on the pay roll.... these days hes a regular member of the Bohemian Grove...

talks about the MK ULTRA program.. thats just fucked up shit...its basically the history time line of lsd-25 from the very start when Alby hoffman founded it in 1948... the cia took control of Sandoz laboritories and took controll of the whole LSD-25 supplies... they extensively tested on all sorts of people, CIA agents included... right up untill 1975 when they were found out about all the shit they were doing and forced to stop... or most probably go under ground.. this is the cia remember ...lol

its a fuckin great read, very well written and full of disturbing facts about the LSD-25 programs....

The electric koolaide acid test is a very good book , the author of it is actually Tom Wolfe the rest of his books trailed away from my intrests from what i have read of them though

people often think that ken kessy wrote the book because he is the main charictor in the book however the book that made kessy famous is the one I am currently re-reading which is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest ( lazy people can go rent the movie but it's no-where near the same experiance imo)

hmm guess I should make a sugestion aswell , i would have to sugest

both PiHKAL and TiHKAL by Alexander and Ann Shulgin

and for those studying clandestine chemists out there , anything by "uncle fester"

yea robert anton wilson is great, as is tikal and pikal, just fifished reading the acid test which was great, filled me in on heaps about the 60s (even me mum read and liked this one) and reading acid dreams at the moment which is realy quite scary, all about the cia and their involvment with lsd and who and how they gave it to them (at one point it was like a joke around the office at the cia to go and spike someones drink with lsd :applause:) otto snows books are well worth a read as well if you can understant the chem stuff, thc and tropacocaine is a great read all about making synthetic thc and it analogs, well worth the read if you can make sense of this stuff.
