They'll preflower when the either mature or go under 12/12, it depends on strain but I've found at 3-4 weeks most strains I've dealt with will preflower by themselves under 18/6 lights. The exception being pure sativas which can take a shitload longer but they usually aren't suited for indoor grows unless you have heaps of time , head hieght, lights and electricity to waste :freak:

Hi spud,

If anyone has good tips on flowering and how to maximise your buds etc please let me know

When you switch over to 12/12 it will treigger the flowering cycle. During this stage the plant increases uptake of Potasium (P) and Phosphorous (K). PK 13/14 is a Bud enhancer commonly used to boost this uptake of needed (desired ) chemicals and increase bud size.

PK 13/14 is reasonalby inexpensive and will last severall grows as you only use a small amount (2ml per Lt).

they have outgrown there pots. there about 12 inches now so i am re potting them into adult pots .

When and if you pot them up it would bennifit the plant alot by veging further (minimum of 1 week) to settle the plant into you new pots before flowering.

does anyone know if using sea kelp actually works??

I'm not sure if kelp is a high potasium (P) or high in Phosphorous (K). But it is ok to use - just don't over feed.
