how long does a plant last?

i have a 3ft plant "Skunk number.1" so its called,

 

put in as seed march 2005. grew very slowly through winter, havested last month.

 

now its regenerating after i cut it down to 1ft (last of the heads)

 

just thought it would be interesting to know how long this plant can live for,

and if other ppl have had plants last more than a year...

some people have been known to keep a single plant alive for 10+ years, lots of hard work and the plant is constantly vegged, but its much easier to just take cuttings and keep a mother that gets replaced every few months :smoke
