not so .. you'all have convinced me i need to try harder to get a microscope .. went into a dick smith today and Jaycar and 2 other electronics/gadget places .. all of them had what Australia Post has .. the same head mounted magnifier I already have and similar cheap junk ... any suggestions on where i can get one ? I know ebay ...its too slow .. somwhere in Sydney if anyone has a brainwave?

I did get a cheap kids microscope from Toyworld ? Toys R Us or something, for kids to look at bugs and things its not the best but you can see the triks OK.

Then i picked up a plastic kids mini-microscope at a garage sale!

Hey Mushaman, buds are looking sweet btw. I use the lense which screwed out of an old microscope. It goes in very close on trichs.

 

Ol mate bought a loupe from the local opsm shop tho. It works well, a 30 by jewellers loupe. They have a 10 by as well, but it doesnt go in close enough.

Hey Mushy, I would pick and dry a test bit of bud, do this every 5 days until you find what you like, I'm told this way you can sort of control your stone slightly, even heavily dominant strains can still have slight control depending when harvested.

After deciding on this fact the man puts the object back down on the ground

and says "Good thing I didn't step in it".

 

So that is my advice, Loot at your buds, feel your buds, smell your buds and taste your buds, then decide if they are ready to be harvested.

I read somewhere "when you think they are ready, give them another week"...works for me :thumbsup

 

this time round I've placed sheets of newspaper on shelves and put a layer of buds on the paper. Try not to allow buds to have direct contact with eachother

Hey Eikel, I wouldnt use newspaper man. I tried it once and it tainted the buds with a strong ink aroma. The smoke tasted like licking newspapers

Hehe, did you use fresh newspaper?

 

I've dried part harvests before this way - providing you use older papers that aren't as likely to rub off the print I find it's ok.... haven't had any "ink-flavoured" buds as yet
