Superbud or Rockjuice???

Recommended Posts

Hey.. I find myself under this list.. I am not one of the best growers, and my space has been limited, with 5plants being the most I've done..

I've used Rockjuice pretty much every grow, except for 2 (when I used dutchmaster without it) and for me it produces a harder bud, less smelling and for me, thats good.. less smell = better in my area

I personally don't know much about other systems, but with the bucket grow, I would recommend using the Rocjuice about 2 and a half 3 weeks into Flower, giving the buds time to develop before stretching.

Hope it helps.

thought I'd show you what the current result of using megabud (not superbud ... are they the same?) every time I add A.I. flowering nutes .. in proportion to the water ...

I also used Pk13/14 as a one off ... I read 3 weeks before harvest .. so its been in for a few days ... all the tips are chunking up now (but i just added more light .. so thats a factor also) and the buds are smelling much stronger than a week ago. I'm not sure whats the right combo but the one i used seems to be working a treat in my GR :peace:

hey HB, the guyin my hydro shop said that Megabud was an alternative to Rockjuice ... he recommended the Megabud coz it was organic? ... where Rockjuice wasn't completely .. so .. he said the Megabud could be used all the way thru flowering till the final week .. then flushing straight water for the last 7 days

is thats megabud by nulife then its not the same as rockjuice or supebud. megabud is a vitamin etc booster and organic. the others are a pgr (plant growth regulator) which initiates flowering.

i find that if u use PGRS in a SCROG thats where the benefit is. you get a field of hard solid buds. and 20% more yield sometimes 30%. but thats my strain (if i dont use PGRs its a light fluffy and quick flowering 42 days strain).ive done many without pgr's and many with in the same room and the pgr always wins.

BUT it destroys the natural aroma's and makes the bud very red and hairy. the quality of the bud is definitely not as nice as when not using it. so if ur not just going for yeild i woulndt use it. but if yield is what u want then its worth the $150 investment per crop

ps. i find that sudden impact (a 2 part PGR) doesnt impact the quality of the bud as much as superbud. althought its double the price though.

forgot to add that ive tried adding teh PGR at 3 different stages (at 12/12, 1 week in and 2 weeks in). i find that adding at 12/12 gives best result (yield). adding 2 weeks in doesnt give buds enough time to really fill out. BUT you have to veg longer until you have a FULL scrog (cause they wont grow an inch taller once you add it!) and if u dont have a FULL scrog you wont appreciate the yield increase. i dont mind veggin longer as they grow really fast in the late stages of veg and an extra week veg is a small price to pay for the results.
