  1. should be fine under fluro's till your gear comes If you find they are stretching too much you may want to lower the cfl a bit and you will find it stretches less
  2. Hi Deamon You are correct in stating that SSL can be unwrapped, checked and re-encrypted without notification assuming you have access to the certificate authorities signing certificate in-order to re-encrypt the data without the built in SSL safety features setting off alarms to a user which for 99.9 % of the population is simply impossible. ( unless your on a work network which I'll get to in a min) It isn't just a single system you need to exploit to achieve what you are referring to though someone would also have to achieve a man in the middle attack or the have the ability to spoof an IP and knock the real intended host offline (on a route which will actually be taken by the traffic.... owe that needs to be "hacked" to btw) not to mention the slightly easier requirement of providing a fully functional forum on the fly so that the user isn't aware that they are talking through an unknown proxy or another server this again takes out 99% of the population ( not including systems which are forced through monitoring points). In regards to public networks and Public CA's there are some countries in the world where the government has this ability to both "insert themselves between you and the internet" as well as request CA certificates to resign traffic however Australia is NOT one of them and even in the US it has to be directly associated with terrorism to be legal. In enterprise networks it's a bit more of a concern as Domain admins have the ability to force trusted CA's into your certificate store and control the routing between you and the internet however I have dealt with quite literally hundreds of networks in my career and have come across this practice being implemented less than a handful of times. ( tbh though if you were surfing this site from a work place like the ones who did have it implemented you would need to have a few screws loose) With the above considered I believe that your statement about SSL being a false sense of security is wildly inaccurate and shows ( and a mean this nicely ) a lack of completely understanding PKI. The reality is by a site simply slapping an SSL certificate from a trusted 3rd party vendor on their site 99% of the potential dangers that are out there in regards to packet sniffing / Capturing / Monitoring ect are automatically addressed. PKI itself with industry accepted bit levels and higher has NEVER been exploited in a manner which was not directly a user or process error so really there is also no basis for the statement At the end of the day PKI based authentication is widely considered the most secure point to point single form-factor authentication and source validation for the web which is why it is used by banks , corporate networks, the military and anyone else who wants to protect their users against the majority of threats which can be carried out on traffic in transit by your average person with a computer and Google. Should Australia allow this type of activity in the future there are measures which can be further taken Changing IP's is not only done at a forum level as that would be a pretty silly single point of failure.... . The web-server as-well as other server logs are also overwritten very regularly as we have no use for them outside of a certain window ( we call it the pain in the ass user window ) There was a time that we used to have a script to go through ALL logs on the server including the webserver but we stopped as the reality is all that anyone could get from a webserver log has absolutely no relevance or tie to someones activities here. ( Timestamp , IP address , Browser , Page accessed ( which is almost always index.php) At the end of the day though it is the software level that counts in regards to what is really required here; the idea is to disassociate content and or User-ID's with real world IP addresses which is exactly what it does. Hope that has helped
  3. Happy Anniversary Pure! Hope you are well and enjoy the day. Peace. Hopper.
  4. Due to the fact that we use SSL here and attempt to use a ballance between the highest level of protection and ease of use unfortunatly we will always see this issue for some people. In many cases it boils down to the users internet connection ( it does when it's happened to me) One thing that will help people having this sort of issue is to use the Remember me Tick box on the login page, This will not save any passwords to your browser it will just set a different cookie. If using this method REMEMBER TO CLEAR YOUR COOKIES & BROWSER CACHE when you close it , otherwise anyone who uses your pc and happens to try and visit the site will be logged in as you. The remember me feature doesn't work if you change PC's or change IP's however for the purposes of stabalising a long SSL session it seems to work well. FYI it also helps for people that have issues submitting Seedbank and Strain reports logged in as themselfs. It is not a picture perfect solution I know , but it seems to work well and idealy you should be using your browser to clear all information anyway so it should have no effect to your security

  7. Spelllin ain't much at the end of the day , most people on the internet use short hand type language anyways "" lmfao ect ect I have edited your thread title just to fix it up welcome to the forums
  8. There are a few ways that a true female can be forced to produce staminate flowers the concept has nothing to do with true hermaphrodites when referring to feminised seeds though. True Hermaphrodites do not produce feminine seed , they are a throw back of the normally dieocious species and using them as breeding parents is not a good way to achieve a healthy hybrid A Hermie is born a hermie and will likely give allot of hermie offspring not feminine seeds. However the other methodology of triggering the plants natural stress mechanism in a pure female is widely accepted as one of the better methods to create feminised seed The way I treat it is if I am not actively trying to stress a staminate flower out of a clone yet when it gets into flower it is showing signs of hermaphrodism then eighter A) It's a hermie and I don't want it in my room or B ) Whatever genetics make up the hybrid made it prone to stress and throwing out staminate flowers allong with calyxes .. In either case I take them from my room. Personaly speaking I find it all a dilution of the plants gene-pool , I prefer my strains to be bred from true dieocous parents but thats just a personal preference
  9. firstly nice to see you back around jack , Thats an interesting diagnosis, I have to say that I can't see any sort of mosaic pattern or blistering on those leaves which it was my understanding are two clear identifying characteristics for the Tobacco Virus I wouldn't recommend jumping the gun and assuming it's an incurable virus though when there have been a few other tid bits that have been corrected along the way here already. I am not disagreeing with Jackfrost but it is my opinion that you really want to be sure before culling everything and starting over to have an infectious free crop Any chance of some close up leaf shots of any that may be showing blistering or a mosaic pattern perhaps which would help to confirm the tmv diagnosis ?
  10. As a matter of interest do you have a drainage layer at te base of your coco pots using something like lava rocks , river stones clay balls ect or is it just the coco mix all the way down ? To me the last part of that sentence is an issue , coco REQUIRES you to aim for about 10% run off every watering or you need to flush through all the salt that is built up VERY regularly, not doing so can will mean ph fluctuation in the medium and nutrient lockout or even burning in the case of some elements. do a standard feed WITH about 10% run off and then pH test the run off, if there are no issues in the medium you shouldn't see any change If you see a change though report back which way it has gone , often rot and bacteria will send your ph down whilst coco that is not allowed to dry between waterings , or doesn't run off it's waste can make your coco go quite alkaline towards the bottom of the pots in my experience. My first coco grow I had the issue I am describing from not enough run off and no drainage layer in my pots , by the time I fixed it which was only about a week , the ph of the coco at the bottom of the pot was past 10 which naturally was causing me all kinds of issues. Hope that helps a bit
  11. That has to be one of the stupidest suggestions I have heard in a long time , if you want to dilute things like hydrocloric acid then do so cause no-one will miss you but don't recommend it to others Anyone else just think back to chemistry when you learned what happens when you mix acids and bases , 99% of australia's rain water is alkaline and depending on the time of year can contain some pretty active elements like sodium which you certainly don't want to be using when diluting , it is also why you add your pH adjusters to a full body or water instead of whilst it';s topping up even though the amount added is miniscule in comparison to the ratio your sugesting the mix is NOT stable. All these products that are diluted by manufacturers use distilled water. Adjust ph correctly and use the correct ph up or down doses as needed , if you need to dilute it to get things right then I would consider more on your dosing methods , most hydro stores will happily give you a 3 ml pippet dropper if you ask for one One day I will maybe figure out why you keep on signing up new accounts Crank but I don't give a shit what your calling yourself these days bad or dangerous advice isn't appreciated by anyone keep it for your own grows As for the plants they look like they are suffering from quite a few issues , my suggestion would be to cut away all of those leafs which are wilted up to avoid potential deisese spreading and essentially start from blank on the system with a clean flush of fresh ph adjusted water , then mix up a fresh batch of rose purpose nutrients at about 4/3 recommended strenght ( or even better cannabis ) feed it this every 2nd or 3rd watering which should cover the majority of your plants needs with the exception of certain boost periods for elements ie P , K , N at the start of flower , and P, K towards the end of flower. Also ensure that your plants are drying out between waterings , often a ph fluctuation has something to do with stagnant pooling that isn't drying out between waterings. Actually they pretty much do the difference is the methodology of feeding , in a hydroponic system the water constantly has to be enriched with the exception of the flushing periods because the medium contains no elements at all and is unable to store them , in soil aswell as other organic methods the plants have the food available to them for longer periods of time therefore they feed as needed which means you may not need to introduce new nutrients each watering but they are certainly being used , this is also why its harder to burn plants with organic feeds , if they don't need it they ignore it where as when a salt based nutrients are used the plant is essentially forced to take them up and store them in the plants tissue this can result in burning ect
  12. BNT will have diffusers in stock shortly and I belive there may even be a few currently available at request. As some are aware we are currently in the midst of organising our own range of glass on glass bongs and we hope that our next prototype releases of our bongs mark the launch of the line. In the previous orders though we have recived and assisted members with odd bits and peices , they just had to ask I think though that I should point out to anyone unaware that crank apears to be Lavey, Leafy or whatever you want to call him . I'm of course a bit biast with this next part but the truth is we have been here supporting the Australian cannabis community in many ways for quite a while . So for me when it comes to shopping with BNT or a different local shop that has opened an online shop simply to make a profit from the smoking community locally it's simply not a question. Thats not just BNT that includes companies like freewheelin ( R.I.P) bringabong , ect who have been here for a long time doing allot more for the community than opening a shop. we certainly don't have the largest stock in the world , but a small thing like using the EDIT referal links from here goes a long way to keeping this place alive AND moving forward
  13. Dos attacks , that kind of talk will get you no-where and tbh what you have " figured out " is probably the first line of consideration for any type of system , Your not dealing with dlink adsl routers , cheap enduser firewalls and crappy network configurations , there are Technologies like NLB and HA which make attacks like this from any-one person a pretty pointless excersise .... There will certainly be ways to exploit the system and it will likely be the target of allot of attacks but the concept of Dosing a government infrastructure at the risk of over 45 years in prision to make no effect at all seems pointless to me .
  14. Have a search for a post by " The Gecko " he did a nice controller install guide that we re yet to copy to cannaversity but it's still on the forums Just remember to do this right and not try the dodgy options that I have seen out there , like basic fan controllers being wired up for use Have a search for a post by " The Gecko " he did a nice controller install guide that we re yet to copy to cannaversity but it's still on the forums Just remember to do this right and not try the dodgy options that I have seen out there , like basic fan controllers being wired up for use
  15. This sensorship bill is nothing new in my eyes , for over 10 years it's been a "plan" but for over 10 years there have been more than several reasons for it to stop before the panning stage even comes into effect. It is likley an inevitable thing , wether in 2 years or 20 , but it wont help a lick with what their intentions are , those that care to find the information they wish to block will be just as happy in most cases finding a solution that will work around the filter .. meaning the large majority of innocent surfers are left effected by the bottlenecking filtering WILL cause whilst those after the information they want for the most part are not effected VPN and proxy have been mentioned here and yes OSA does have a few plans up our sleeve to keep online dispite filters, However at this point I belive it's pre-mature for us to be having such conversations in the open as it will only drive the motivation to create a more efficient filter. I can assure you though that when/ If the feather drops then we will bring things more into light to avoid disruptions . Remember that it will take a year if not more to actually get everyone agreeing to the implementation and the roll out itself will certainly take time Our biggest supporters in many cases though will remain the ISP's they may have the public face of wanting to be the do-gooders but how many 80 gig plans do you think they would sell each month if everyones internet was filtered and you can't underestimate peoples demands to privacy , The government has this campaign on atm about identity theft and information gathering being a huge concern on the Internet etc etc which has a flip side , now the thought of having a few central access points that if weak could be used to gather info on just about anyone , scares the shit out of your average everyday person ... and so it should It would be one thing is governments had this clean reccord of keeping their word but everyone knows this system can and will be exploited for other means if it goes in place
