High all, In 2 of my 5 grows i have had the leaves turn yellow and dye back into the bud, causing the bud to dry out and dye. If you look at entry No.6 from stoney72 in the cannaporn compettition this is exactly what it starts out like. What do you's think? I'm growing 2 plants in a recirculating system under a 400 W Light in a cupboard with a fan... I flush fortnightly and check Ph levels daily. I'm using the complete Cana range (veg\flores, canazime at all times, rhizotonic in veg, and PK13 3 weeks B4 harvest.

I'm sick of dodgy cheap ass ph meters, I've gone through 3 in the last fortnight so I finally bit the bullet and got me one of these babies, I'll be returning the last piece of crap as soon as it arrives

hey fellas, i planted a a seed about 3 months ago. around just late of summer and its not very high at all lots of leaves but very short with these white hairs coming out of the top. not many tho its outdoor and its hella cold outside so i cut a 2L coke bottle in half an popped it over the plant at night water every 2-3 days. Anyways the real question is i wanna start growing hydro. Dont smoke alot just would like a cheap hps kit. It needs to be from seed all the way to harvest. maybe just 1 or 2 plants. And i dont have mad money for a huge kit ethier. What do you reckon? i heard a 200watt HPS system would be okay? wont be using hydro nutes or anything like that ju…

Hey all and thank you again for all your help previously. I once set up my garden shed for growing before but in this time I was much younger and got some free roof/insulation bats so I set my shed up with these on all walls and covered them with that white reflective plastic. Why I say I was much younger then is that I was full of energy and now I am looking for a much easier way without spending a fortune. Does anyone know the best way to insulate their sheds? I want to grow again and I can still get these bats for free but I tried going to Clark Rubber to get some foam but it was really expensive for the amount I needed, I was looking at close to $300 or more just…

Hey guys, Well, I have an EC meter but I'm not quite sure how to use it. Calibrated it like the guy said and wouldn't you know, it seems to me that my plants don't take in any nutes. I threw in about 1/4 strength for the guys in flower and 1/8 for the mothers and veggers, however to this day the EC reading has only increased, and it's been about two months. I have to add more RO water every day just to keep the meter from jumping .10ms and I shoot for a reading of 1.0ms for the flowering guys and .5ms for the veg. Before this (I guess I was over nuting) I was changing the water every two weeks and using nutes at twice the strength since I couldn't see that the plant…

What is your local tap water PPM? I have a bluelabs truncheon and the lowest it measures it 140ppm on the .700 scale. Should I do all my measurements on the .500 or .700 scale? What is the difference? I think my water is around 90-140ppm because if I add abit of salt or something to it, then it registers but normally it doesn't register because I think it is lower than the metre can read (140ppm) Anyone know about this? What is your local tap water and general area?

Hey does anyone know if it's possible to purchase pre-made/kit grow cabinets & equipment. I know that grow.com.au used to have a model that looked like a fridge complete w/ lights, fans, nutes, etc.. It was just a matter of plugging it in & growing (apparently). Hey all, Asof next grow me and H11 will be changing our strain in our hydro setup. We want something that will have a complete life-cycle (from clone size to bud) within 3 month period. It dosn't have to be a killer yeild, just something that is going to be consistent and reliable harvest I've heard that the strain Big bud and Northern Lights is a good short term plant with high yeilds and good smoke, but i'd rather ask you guys in the forums from ya'all experience. Our setup is pretty basic... Its a 2 plant Drip system in Clay pebbles in a small garden shed size room. There is plenty of room to tie the plants down and grow them horizontal to get more yeild. ok i have a mate that insists that for flowering the light should be 8 hours on and 16 hour off. yet from everyone that i've spoken too and everything i'v read its suppost to be 12/12. now were just arguing over whats right and wrong. can someone please confirm whats right and wrong. cheers.

im 2 weeks into flower and am seriously running out of room the the grow room, i use the 1/3 method of going into 12/12 but the plants hit nos, i'v got another 10cm before i'll have to remove light. can i stunt the growth or something?

First of all, this is not for marijuana so much as just a general 'hypothetical application' of a hydroponic setup, using beans as an example plant. The idea is to have it in a confined space, with each layer [light rack, water tray, tank] on separate mountings so I can slide them out for easy access and maintenance. I understand I'm not being too detailed about any of this [tank sizes, light types, growing medium, etc] but I want to make sure my concept isn't flawed in some way. hey guys/gals. awesome site! just a quick question....can i take clone cuttings off a plant thats gone into flowering? i've read how the cells of the plant change during the flowering cycle and just wondering if taking clones, meaning that the cuttings would be in the flowering cycle and having to revert back to veg cycle, would that cause the cloned plant to be mutant and not usable. cheers. p.s. anyone know what happened to planet skunk's web site??
