hi,guys where can i get 40w warm white fluorescent tube's from.I need them to add to two cool white tube's.I'm a first time grower and unable to find them ,do you think this will give me the light to grow 6 plants under.This is the first run with my grow closet and it still needs work but when it's finished it will have, by than i hope another four tube's which will make eight four of each. thank to all for your help

i was just wondering if u can use a light called tri phosphorus it is used for aquarium plants . and is 18w strong enough for cloning. the tri phosphorus light is three times more brighter than your normal floouro light . and what light spectrum should u use for cloning .

Hi, I have to buy a light for my ladies today or 2moro, or very soon anyway. I sprouted them in a glass of frequently changed spring water, and have started them in small rockwool blocks. Some of them have started rooting, and today have started to open out their first set of jagged leaves. Theres two 'sets' on the plant at the moment, so they are still small.. From being sprouted to this stage has taken nearly one week now. But I do notice growth when I go to sleep and wake up, or go out and come back. I water them with lukewarm room temp water, with no chemicals. I have no bud to smoke and just moved to this area, and arent the type to walk around train stations asking …

How vital is a GREAT shade for a grow I mean obiously it helps but some of them are priced pretty ridiculusly overpriced so I was wondering how much difference it's really gonna make in the end ? What shades do you guys use ? and has anyone tried making their own from sheet metal ? thanx in advnace peoples I had an adjusta shade and thought uit wsa great but now I'm lokng to replace it and they are a bit steep

Hi All, My plants have stretched 300% so I had to move them out of the wardrobe and into the middle of the room . Would ventilation be required if the plants were in the middle of a room with an open window and an oscillating fan blowing 24/7 ? Apart from the stretch the plants are looking excellent, only 5 more weeks to go Cheers dwyndorf

I was wondering if anyone else is using one of these or has used one I will be using it for cooling purposes not humidity I figured that it could help me to regulate the temp of the room and solve posible heating issues I may encounter growing in a cuboard any ways there is a pic of one bellow if your not sure what I'm talking about

Hi people's. Well i got some reasonably good news,the "terrarium" works in propagating seeds ! I used a; NEC TRI-PHOSPHUR FL 30SSBR-HG-36 T 8 Biolux HG Lamp I put in 36 seeds and 35 sprouted.(Now i got to find spots for them !) i just use this system to get them growing and once they are a couple of inches tall transplant. I start them off by soaking in water for a day or two and wait for the tap-root to pop out,then place them into seedling mix. THEN transplant,once they are big enough. Getting a head start on next years grow. Hope this is beneficial to other growers. Cheers. P.S the only problem i encountered was the proximity too the ligh…

ok well I am trying to get a bit more of a grasp as to how the lighting in a grow room works and is distributed. the bottom line question I have is what happens if you have multiple lights as far as distrabution goes I understand about the maximum coverage area but thats not really a problem I have what I want to do is put two lights in an area that "could" just be covered buy a single light . for the purposes of this post lets just say I was using 1 400w light and one 600watt light positioned how they are in the attached diagram, now would the four plants in the diagram all benifit from having combined light or would I just get uneven growth according the the pl…

wondering what people recomend and use themselfs I am currently in the first week of veg using 19/5 but I was thinking of making it's days a little longer to firstly give the plants more light in a day and secondly I am hoping this could mean I could flower with a 13 or even 14 hour day giving them the longest light period I can without keeping them in veg <~~~ would that work ?

Hey ya , A freind has given me an 8 watt Ultraviolet lamp ,Manufactured by Australian Ultra Violet Services (Operations) PTY LTD Model Deodouriser Prim volts 240 Prim Amps 0.17 8 Watts .it is about 30cm long Ihave been told it will keep a whole Grow Room Oduor free ,origionaly they are for sanatising and deodourising public toilets etc , Do any members have any information etc ,I would like to Know also will post as to if it works , Ive noticed it does seem to drop odours ,Suprisingly, also there is a slight Ozone type smell while lamp is operating . I think its pretty dumb, but being a newbie I had to ask. I was sitting in a chat room, last night chatting with a stoner somewhere in Canada. We spoke for a fairly long period of time too. One of the things He told me was, that if you use a black light in your growroom, that its changes the colour of the hairs on the flowers?? He stated that He tried it and it worked, it produced Vibrant coloured hairs?? Now Is this guy speaking through a hole in his head, Or maybe ther is some truth to this? puzzled.
