Alrighty, someone here will probably think this is a silly question but to be honest with you I'm stumped. Currently my grow-drobe is running a little hot for my liking (26-30 degrees during the day, yeah i know not the end of the world but id like to see it come down a few degrees, so my question is this, I want to add some active intake, currently I have a few vents supplying fresh air but I want to lower the temp beyond what vents can do, so I ask, what is more beneficial, higher rpms or higher cfm, now i know that rpm is the speed of the fan and cfm is how much air it moves, but it just seems odd to me that a fan that when held against your skin feels like its hardly…

My brother just bought a second grow Fridge thing (Monsta Grow) ,, and on the shade there is a box/adapter that says it will run up to 1000 watt HPS Has any one seen anything like this before ? I will try to get some pics of it sent to me .

Hey guys i just put my little seedling 4 weeks old on its 5th node now under a 48W (200W) CFL i am wondering could i grow it under this light here for 3 - 4 weeks then put it back outdoors when October starts cos then its spring. also approximately how much would it cost me to run this globe 18/6 for 3 - 4 weeks?

Hi, I've got a 400w high bay light that I want to convert into a remote ballast, I know roughly all the electrical stuff to do but my plan is to connect the ballast to my current euro reflector that I have. I was wondering if I would be able to use a standard (tube like) bulb? I want to do this as i've heard the round reflector that comes with the unit tends to focus the light rather than spread it out, plus the bulb that is in there is a oval shaped mercury vapour one. Hey everyone Just wondering if anyone could tell me how to lightproof my wardrobe. Rough dimensions are about 6ft tall, 2-2.5ft deep and 4ft wide. i can solve all of the back light problems with duct tape or caulk, but the door is proving to be a problem. its a 2 door wardrobe, where the doors meet in the middle. i was thinking of either panda film or weatherstripping. but dont know how to efectivley install either any help is greatly appreciated can post pics of the wadrobe if you want. hey guys i've bought a primair fan controller, with a thermostat and speed control for 2 fans. My problem is that my filter/fan combo is meant for a much larger room. My room has (and can only have) one vent for air in. so when the temp gets above what i've set on the dial and my exhaust fan comes on full power i can hear the motor strain as the room is under negative pressure. Before i bought the primair controller i just had my fan on a fan speed controller i borrowed off an old ceiling fan. Can i some how wire that in to slow down the fan when it comes on full power? or, as i'm not using the 2nd fan dial, can i wire that up to control the speed of fan1 when the ther…

Hi there fellow members, just picked up a GE Lucalox HPS 400w horticultural globe for nix, any one used one? Can't find much information about them on the net other than hydro suppliers group them with the Son-T's and the GE Lucagrow.

Anyone out there used leds for growing before and what sort of results have you had. They seem to come in 90w, 300w, 600w and claim good results with minimum power consumption. I know they dont have the aus safety tick thats why the shops arent selling them??????????????

Hi Guys, Because of high temperatures here I have been forced to run my lights as much as I can during the night to keep the temperature down, last night i found a BIG problem.... due to it being a rental property and I cant vent though the roof, I actually vent my fan out the window, which is covered by a thin cotton curtain to allow air to penetrate the curtain, the window and curtain in then covered in builders plastic with only a small round hole in the builders plastic to allow the air to be vented through the curtain and out the window. ...unfortunately at night the vent shows up as a glowing yellow hole through the curtain....looks pretty suspicous, fortunately…

My MH bulbs wont stay on. When I plug them in they come on, sometimes fast sometimes more slowly. I have two ballasts and I've tried them both. On ballast A they stayed on longer, about an hour. On ballast B they only stayed on 20 mins or less, or never really got bright. They are both MH ballasts but I have one HPS conversion bulb. When I screw in the HPS conv bulb it starts right up and there is no problem. My first thought was that the MH bulbs are "done". But, would they both be done at exactly the same time? My other thought is: can there be a problem with my transformer? I brought these ballasts over from the US where the power is 110-115v. I checked the voltage co…
