Apparently now legalising canna means more divorce, domestic violence and child abuse!!! Oh mercy. I guess it's easy to say anything and everything if you don't have to back it up with any facts...(and I'm not even going to start on the 240,000 joints bit..) http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/Election-2010...ia-legalize-pot

Not surprisingly, America's last few drug czar's have gathered together to oppose Prop 19 in the US. http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/commen...0,5131241.story A few initial thoughts. Sorry to burst your bubble guys but, no, you can't. You use extremely flimsly evidence of "Amsterdam's coffee shop sales" and the fact the Dutch have lowered the number of coffee shops selling canna. But surely you know you are quoting figures out of context. The repealing of coffee shops isn't happening in Amsterdam, from what I can see, but from cities or towns in the Netherlands closer to the borders of other counties, where pot remains illegal, and a black market is created…

I found this series to be one of the most balanced and enlightening when talking about the drug war in the US. I'll link just the first part of it, the rest are there on youtube to link to it if interested. Really worth watching the whole series imo..(particularly interesting that the DEA and the White House Office of Drug Policy refused to be a part of it. Pretty hard to have a balanced debate when the policy makers and those who enforce those laws refuse to discuss the issue...hmmmm.) I also find it particularly interesting that this was aired on Fox News.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar4tNc5WYPo

February 18, 2010 3:30PM http://www.news.com.au/breaking-news/canna...0-1225831844834 Copyright 2009 News Limited CANNABIS is easier to buy than a pizza, says a drug expert, so why not legalise and tax it to benefit everyone? Dr Alex Wodak, the director of the Alcohol and Drug Service at Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital, says cannabis will soon be Australia's smoke of choice. "In a few years time, we'll have more Australians smoking cannabis than we have smoking tobacco and by default that market is largely taken over by criminals,'' Dr Wodak said. "Having a black market of that size is not good for anybody and inevitably big black markets can only survive i…
