Hi All, As mentioned in chat... There is a way to take your internet browser with you wherever you go and be safe in the knowledge that any information goes with you. How do you do this? first... you grab yourself a portable thumb drive... prices generally start from about $20 for the smaller capacity drives, but are lesser quality You can get a decent 1gig for about $40-60 from most computer stores. Got ur thumb drive?? ok now go to this site portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable or search firefox portable through google... should be the first one that comes up... Save to your thumb drive, not download to open. Generally portable drive…

If you want to keep anonymous for free you can try these services : The Cloak (you can proxy chain through this service, just about untraceable when you chain.) Proxify Anonymouse Superprivacyguard ( you can proxy chain ) A whole bunch here I use SSL or VPN here Findnot (approx. $40 per 3mths) which I tried through cloak and SPG which both worked however seen OzStoners is a SSL site it becomes to slow unless you are on high speed ADSL+2

Ok here we go. Everyone wants to be secure on the Internet and this site right? It's time for a crash course in TCP/IP Protocal and the wonderful world of the Internet, and soon, Internet2. Introduction: The Internet came out of the USA requiring a system in 1955 to be able to lunch there nukes from anywhere in the world. The solution to the problem was a network that could still operate no matter what "nodes" were destroyed so they hired Berkly labs to design such a system. The grass roots of the Internet was born. In about 1980 the Internet came to life to link Universitys for research projects. Now here is the problem. When TCP/IP protocal was writte…

I am trialling a program called Torpark. It is a Hacktivismo produced version of the Firefox browser that is completely set up for anonymous surfing. It uses Tor and the Tor onion router network of proxies, its mega easy to use as its fully configured for dummies like myself. The Hacktivismo link has a full description,I have had an issue using it with ZA personal free with the VSMON.exe file (Zone Alarm true vector monitoring)but it still works,I will endeavour to find out the fix for this and post it here. This is super simple to use and gives you different IP etc Torpark download ps. if your on dialup I wouldn't bother as it halves your surfing speed, but for others

Anonymous browsing does it really exist? I have always been curious as to if there is such a thing as being truly anonymous online. Now from my (layman’s) pint of view I have always wondered if programs such as anonymiser really work and if so to what extent? Would it not be that hard for the authorities to trace the proxy back to your original ip address there for knowing who you are? I know that this site protects its users but my questions are more about general internet use to other sites and memberships. Are there any programs that are easy to use that would make it impossible for the authorities to trace? I have heard on here and many other sites differing opinions …

This is an email that has gone about for a while and as far as i know microsoft cant as yet disable anyones machine in fear of getting sued by some company for having there system shut down all of a sudden. (Damages would be massive to the bigger firms...) But never the less worth posting....

I know this is alot to read but you need to know it. In the greatest surveillance effort ever established, the US National Security Agency (NSA) has created a global spy system, codename ECHELON, which captures and analyzes virtually every phone call, fax, email and telex message sent anywhere in the world. ECHELON is controlled by the NSA and is operated in conjunction with the Government Communications Head Quarters (GCHQ) of England, the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) of Canada, the Australian Defense Security Directorate (DSD), and the General Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) of New Zealand. The ECHELON system is fairly simple in design: position…

Hey guys, Im just messing around with my PC trying to kill some time and noticed that my HDD's (I have 2 of them, one 120GB and one 60GB) are set as 'secondary master' and 'secondary slave'. My DVD and CD burner (two separate drives) are set as 'primary master' and 'primary slave. My question was, Should the HDD's be set to 'primary master + slave' and my disc drives set to 'secondary master + slave'? If I were to swap them around (I have no probs doing this) would my PC benefit from it in any ways? Or should I just leave it be? Cheers :thumbsup nugget23

im not sure if i should be upset, worried or happy about this but for some reason over the past few days i have noticed that my computer hasnt been going mental with the cpu fan which makes a god aweful amount of noise :scratchin its not just when im logged into the computer and playing games or what ever either, usually when i turn the computer on, there is a period of about 10 seconds where the fans spin like crazy which creates a really loud and annoying sound, lately that hasnt happened i dunno what the go is, but even during winter when it was literally 5 degrees, when i turned the computer on, the fans would come on like crazy... now all i can hear is a ba…
