I e-mailed LEAP a while ago asking whether they would come to Aus and talk to some of our cop stations I just got this reply and I'm not sure what to reply with. Hi ---- Sorry for the delay in response to your email- it was misdirected at an inactive mailbox. Actually, we are in the process of planning a LEAP tour in Australia... can you give me more details, do you have a contact at these police stations that we can speak to and set up a meeting? Thanks, Kristin I'm assuming she thinks I'm a police officer so yeah.... Maybe I'll just look up my local cop shops number or something and say there's a pretty big drug problem around here or something like that. Any thou…

Interesting report concerning The History and Use Cannabis in Australia, Prohibition and the Illicit Market. LINK It lists some figures for the average price of an ounce of cannabis over a number of years in Australia. (on page 11) I'm interested to hear some comments on this, especially from those who participated in the Cannabis market first hand at those times. Particularly in the 70's, where the prices are so low. I can't comment, I was not even thought of at that time. Cheers

I believe this may be one of the first recording of the prohibition of Cannabis. It's quite interesting and funny (in a sad, sad way). http://www.druglibrary.org/schaffer/histor.../willoughby.htm You can see the pattern coming up already in the statistics they have, although I wouldn't regard much of it as true, take a look. Use (or seizing, but probably use) goes down for the first 4 years and then swiftly goes back up again much quicker. It is also interesting that they predicted that "one of the greatest difficulties with regard to control of its production arose out of the fact that the plant from which the drug is obtained grows wild and that the drug itself is de…

http://www.cannabisculture.com/v2/news/may...-marijuana-ends Very interesting. And yes we do have it here in Australia. If you ever get on the jury for a Cannabis case, make sure to persuade all the jurors to use jury nullification. Just don't let the prosecutors know that you know about it or you won't get on the jury

Howdy I thought this might interest some of you. In parliament a few days ago, Luke Simpkins MP made the most remarkable speech out of the blue. It was in reference to the article in The Age titled 'Labor softens heroin stance as it splits from US policy'. Although Simpkins spoke about drug policy in general you may be interested to note that he considers cannabis as dangerous and addictive as heroin. This means that he considers regular cannabis smokers are addicts and should have their children permanently removed as well as other bizarre strategies. I wrote more about it here. Do Dickhead Politicians Grow on Trees in WA? -- Terry Wright The Australian Heroin …

If weed was made legal and alcohol was made illegal..... then there would be no more drunken violence, binge drinking etc in our streets! Thats my opinion anyway What do you think, for discussions sake if this was to really happen?? Do you think it would solve or create more problems?? Also, if all current laws stayed the same but weed was legalized do you think binge drinking would decrease?
