Hey, I've dug five 2ft x 2ft holes for planting, however some of the holes have roots from trees or nearby shrubs going into them. I've chopped all the roots in the hole, but some still are poking in. Just wondering if this is going to be a problem ? Will the roots fight with my female's roots? Also, one of the holes has water pooling in the botom - it's not much but if I dig down any more it would be heaps. It's the right depth hole at the moment - can I still fill it up with soil and plant there? Thanks

Hi, I will be germinating my seeds in paper towel and then putting them in small styrofoam noodle cups (about 600ml) with Debco seedling mix. My question is, what should I do when the seedlings pop out from the soil? I don't have any lights to grow them inside... should I just take them outside at the start of the day, and bring them in at night? We've got a small greenhouse thing with shadecloth over the top, but I'm not sure how much sun gets in there. Also, when do I transplant from the small styrofoam cups to the ground? How do I make sure the plant doesn't get rootbound too badly? Thanks

Hey all ! I began to germinate my seeds about a week ago with the plan of growing them under my 400 watt HPS lamp for about a month and then popping them out towards the end of September ... Today I went to use the lamp Which hasn't been in action for about a year, all was well for about 3 minutes when the power outlet (ballast?) started sparking and quickly caught fire . Scared the shit out of me but lucky I was still in the room to put it out ! Now I'm stuck with all my baby's and unsure of where to go from here . I have another one of the power box things but am a bit paranoid of the same thing happening again , would it be safe to try ? Otherwise I was wonder…

Hi all, Last growing season a mate gave me some seeds from South Australia and I planted them around here in western Victoria, they didnt grow so well and very slowly. So my question is what would be the best strain for a beginner grower in western victoria. Taking into consideration of yield and quality of the bud as well.. Cheers.

Hey everybody, im planning to start growing this year but I do not know when the season is for sydney. I got a bag full of seeds from a mate which said that they'll be plenty to grow. But i only want to have around 1 plant, maybe 2 the most. Well this is my first time growing and I really dont know what to do because I though that they are like regular plants but by looking around for guides etc, they look pretty confusing as I saw that you need different types of soils, mixtures etc. Also does anybody know if people will be able to find out, as im pretty paranoid if neighbours might see it or smell it by accident. Thanks.

Hi, I'm preparing for an outdoor grow - I'll be planting 5 Pure Power Plants - and I'm just wondering how big the holes should be? My plan was for 3ft wide x 1.5ft deep each hole, and fill it up some some soil I purchased from a local nursery - so far I have carted around 500L of the stuff to my guerilla spot out of 1200L, it's very hard work! (The other 300L is perlite which I already have out there). I was just wondering if these holes are the right size. I know soil is something that shouldn't be skimped out, and I want to grow monsters Also, I'm thinking about carting dog shit from our dogs out to the site whenever I go out there, will this keep kangaroos / wal…

Hey Everyone I'm starting this thread coz we all have to water our babies. We wanna hear how you do it, eg drippers, buckets, taps, rivers, etc. This is a problem that faces many a grower (me included!!) every year so post your method and help your fellow growers. Peace Out, Tazwhacker

G'day everyone, I'm wanting to do my first grow and i understand that right now is the time to plant outdoors. I'm thinking about pick and mix some seeds. With my no experience I'm wanting to know what would you guys want to grow outdoors. I'm looking for the normal simple things, big yield and good tasting buds. Just looking for something that's easy to grow and likes the outdoors. I've had white widow bud before and i really liked that smoke. Would that like the outdoor qld environment? Thanks in advance everyone, this site is a great read.

G'day Troops. I Checked on my last 2 big plants this morning, all was fine. I took the dog for her morning walk and went out for about an hour, taking the dog with me in the car, to do some shopping etc and came home. I went down the back and fuck it, some scum bag has ripped my last 2 plants. They came over the back fence, I can see where they placed a ladder or whatever to access my yard, they must have come when we weren't home other wise my dog would have ripped them. But believe me the clown over the back is in for some rigorous interrogation. I heard him talking to a chippie, who was working there, the other night, discussing my plants so the hammer will…

So after about 8 weeks of flowering under 6x24w cfl's, due to some pretty strange and scary circumstances, my two girls had to go. Not worth risking my freedom for tho I guess, anyway I couldn't bare to get rid of them completely, so they have moved outdoors to a safer location, but down South we have had horrible weather and even frost for the past week. I have checked them once and they are definitely being over watered thanks to the rain and the frost isn't helping things! What i wanted to ask was IF they survive these few weeks, how will they cope with the shift from flower back to veg and how will this affect the end product?? Any advice appreciated!

I did early skunk for my 2010-2011 grow. You have to get to know the phenotypes to get the potency with the yield. The size of these plants is amazing and the yield was close to the best i've done yet(between 3-5 lbs)Just posting the pics now as i was bit to nervous last season.Feel free to ask questions on the strain
