So I picked up two Identical wardrobes. Cut the hind legs off one of them so it fit a bit more snug. Removed the backs of them and put them back to back. I end up with 1600mm Height, 1100mm Length and 900mm Deep. They are in pretty good nik despite what they look like ...all round timber, laminated with ply wood. I still need some panda film to light proof the cracks. These pics are pretty noobish ...and they still need alot of work but any advice would be appreciated. Firstly, can I hang my light that way? Everyone seems to hang the light with the L-E-N-G-T-H of the wardrobe, where as im going with depth, I still need to organise a better way to hang the lights …

Hi guys, I'm new here but been searching around for a while regarding grow boxes etc. Here is what i have come up with, i'm guessing some things will be wrong but i'm here to be helped, then to help others. Here goes, i'll save the questions until last. The grow box is going to be 1000x1000x1000mm so according to what i have read a 400 watt HPS light will be suitable for this area. I am going to buy a timer for the lighting sequences. I am going to paint the inside of the grow box in white. For the growing medium i am thinking of using plain soil or perlite and ventilating the box with two 120mm computer fans (exhaust at top, intake at bottom). Still researchin…

G'day, SO didnt have any luck finding a grow robe, wondering what the best timber would be to use to build one. Something like Radiata Pine be ok? I guess the timber would have to be slightly heat resistant? What timber do you guys recommend? Cost really Isnt an issue. Marine ply is the ideal timber? Thanks!

Hey yous, I'm planning something. You can probably guess what. I have experience with HID lighting and hydro operations carried over from the country of my birth. I know from experience that HID lighting is the way to go for best results, but my situation here in the forseeable future won't even support getting a 200W light. I'm going to aim low, and was wondering if here are hardware stores that sell security HPS lights in the 50-100W range. Back home one used to find these things in big "Bunnings-like" stores. It was a cinch to remote the ballast and then one could have an HPS box in a really small container. More like an entertainment centre than a wardrobe. …

Hey all, I'm thinking of getting a small grow going in a converted PC case. This will be my first grow so i've got a few questions. What would be the best strain to grow in such a small space, and with the SCROG netting? Would it be better to plant the seeds in some pots somewhere else, then cut off some clones and plant them in the PC case, or just plant the seeds straight into the PC case? I'm thinking of getting a 170W HPS light, would that be high enough? Should I use something lower or higher? Would normal PC fans be enough to keep the temperature regulated (i'll be having the box in my room, and it can get very hot here during summer), or should i go for dif…

So I spent the day looking in second hand shops , salvo's, vinnies, etc looking for a decent size grow robe. Where do you guys shop, giants R us? Theres really nothing out there with more DEPTH than 500 mm. What do you guys think the minimum depth of a grow robe can be? Im thinking of using a 400 Watt light. And ultimately Im looking for something approximately 1800 mm height, 1000 mm wide with a depth of 1000 mm. Any suggestions plz ?

My friend showed me one of these. I havnt grown indoors before and dont have the room even for a wardrobe setup. i did some research and apparanetly this thing has a bit of a pot following in the US, mainly for personal use growers which i am. has a timer, waters itself and its easy as feck to put together. Guys in the US wrote that if u switch the lights to flowering stage after two weeks the plant doesnt get too tall for the system and it usualy takes 2 months for a crop from seed to harvest but obviously that would be cut down once using clones. Also said it gives about 2 ounces on average. Description reads "The Deluxe AeroGarden, our newest technology, delivers twi…

Howdy all, I grew outside a while ago and did a half assed job raising the seedlings in my wardrobe. This time I'm converting a small inconspicuous box, but its pretty small...dimensions are 75cm (h) x 60 (w) x 45 (d). Was just wondering what kind of light i should use and what kind of fan setup i should be getting...i previously used a fluro but wasnt convinced with the results and really have no idea also how many plants could i look to get into a box this small edit: the calculator on this site read: Minimum rating of your fan should be around 7.7 CFM, power supply rating of 0.9 amps is recommended. (30% load increase for saftey included) so a motor of 0.9amps…

Hi People, I'm about to embark on my first wardrobe grow but have a few questions/concerns i was hoping you could help with. I'm planning to grow 2-4 plants in a 5.5 foot high x 4 feet wide x 2 feet deep wardrobe, in soil under a 400w HPS. Ventilation will be provided by a 150mm centrifugal fan (UF-260) attached to a 150mm Phat carbon filter. I have a 150mm cooltube i was planning to use also to help keep the temps down. My main concerns are : Fire risk - i'm going to be away from the grow for most of the day, and never having grown in a wardrobe before am wary of the potential fire risk. I'm in a rental property sharing with friends so i don't need to be coming…

Light leaks from built in sliding doors anyone with experience? I need help setting up my new grow, in that every thing is set up and ready to grow it’s just the dam light leaks. I have panda the insides of the doors and walls separately and I have duct taped one door as I will only need to access through one. But I still am finding light leaking from the top and bottom of the track and the middle of the doors where they both meet. I’m sure there is just a very simple way of fixing this but I just thought this may be one of those times when it is best to ask professionals on there opinions

im going to be living with my mum for a few years, that is for sure. I have a 1000 watt HPS kit that isn't being used. I need to grow some buds now, but she won't let me i was thinking about buying one of those bud-box type things off of e-bay and fitting my exhaust with a carbon scrubber, would this be enough for the smell?

hey, Have tried many different brands of cocofibre recently almost all brands needed to be rinsed then squeezed by hand before use[alot of work]... Recently was given one of the cheaper brands which is owned and made in oz to trial. To my surprise this fibre is precleaned and ready to use.. Havent found any side effects/deficiency from this and aslong as you water plants and wash your hands after handling or wear gloves there is little to no mess... anyone who has cleaned large ammounts of granulated or some compressed fibre would understand the hassle and mess involved... Their website is www.cocopeat.com.au Gaku coco fibre for those interested.... I mix in coarse pe…

Have been thinking, why can't you use a rectangular pot inside another rectangular pot. I mean like a meter long one and plant two plants in it or even three, this for a wardrobe grow, as wardrobes are rectangular. the piping wouldn't be a problem, instead of round you could make them rectangular. Just fishing for ideas. Thanks Gills
