i have this purple strain i dont know what it is ,it is unbelivable, reliable huge yielding and the best outdoor mother i have ever seen.the thing is it only exsists as a clone,i dont have any idea what it is ,so i am going to do a sativa cross(thai)and a indica cross(mazar-i-sharif) ,but i also want to attempt self polination, maybe with gibberelic acid, maybe aspro and also messing with light cycles ,has any one attempted self polination and (a)how (b)what where the results, thanks

I know this is a long shot people but can anyone ID or even a rough Idea? I was given a bag of seeds about 18months ago a grew a few and had 3 females on the go all different strains. Had a really nice indica dominant strain no idea whether it was a cross, land race or what?...Harvested, many good traits Grew some more from the bag seed and lucky me had 3 more of this same strain growing had two females, one male so pollinated and got some seed most of which was unviable (due to growing very late in season) except for a couple and these are the offspring in the pics.. They are the fast growing and have a good yield amongst other good traits and I just really love…

The following article is an exclusive release from Cannabis Culture Magazine. New cannabis strain discovered in Australia CC has found a variety that doesn't look like normal pot. By Dana Larsen (Sneak Peak from Cannabis Culture #19 (July/August)) Australian Bastard Cannabis Cannabis Culture has discovered a strange new strain of cannabis, never before seen by CC staff, or any of the researchers we¹ve contacted. We¹ve dubbed this peculiar strain Australian Bastard Cannabis (ABC), and although it¹s definitely pot, it sure doesn¹t look like it. The variety is also referred to as Bastard Skunk, although we have no reason to believe it's actually a Skunk derivativ…

Mapping marijuana's DNA Monday, 10 November 2008 ANU Reporter Science Alert - Australia and New Zealand http://www.sciencealert.com.au/features/20081011-18418.html The creation of a genetic database for cannabis is a scientific first. Professor Rod Peakall does not think highly of the science in CSI. The procedural crime TV show uses the trappings of forensic investigation, he argues, but the execution usually falls short of the possible or firmly in the realms of the ridiculous. “They pump someone’s stomach, and identify plant material from somewhere like the Everglades, and I think, ‘Come on, we can’t do that yet’.” But if the show was to run an episode…

Correct anything at will here; just thinking out loud. Firstly what makes a good male? Secondly is there any real need to have a male if giberellins are used in the breeding process? I guess it would if a hybrid was the end goal; but probably not if the desired strain was stabilised. Is it still possible to obtain pure sativa, pure indica & pure ruderallis strains of both? Has any further work been done with Abscisic acid? Can anyone recommend a simpletons guide to marijuana breeding? Where would one obtain these hormones?

G'day everyone, I have been growing for years and at last have decided to create my own seed stock. I had some pollen saved up from some "Blue God" that I got some seeds for when I was over in Vancouver a couple of years ago and decided to cross it with a strain that I have had for a while (don't know the name) that is very chunky and matures really quickly (7 or 8 weeks). Anyway the breeding went well and the plant has quite a few seeds on it and though the bud looks ready and normally I would cut it down at this stage, the seeds still look a little immature/green and I was wondering if they ripen (darken) on the plant or if they darken up in the drying process. An…

I posted the same thing today at PS but couldn't get into this site for some reason. Anyway this is the most fucking coolest thing i have ever seen. A friend showed me one unholy mutant yesterday. It looks like bud but just in a deformed gollum way. Apparently when it is growing it looks nothing like weed at all. All the fingers have joined together and the growth is twisted. You should have seen his vege garden as well! WEIRD vegetables. He has a snow pea plant that has only a couple of pods on it but the peas are nearly the size of marbles! He's been playing with this in the last couple of months and has gone a little overboard, i wish he'd shared this with me when he…

'bush' a term that means the marijuana was grown in the bush/sticks/outdoors 'hydro' a term that means the marijuana was grown without soil under artificial lights this topic is both about which type of MJ you prefer to partake of and/or about particular strains of cannabis. bush is often a sativa base..cerebral up euphoric buzz..and hydro is often a deep body stone..numb..sleepy...thats my understanding anyways...also ive never bought weed that isnt bush or hydro...meaning its never had a paticular strain/name attached to it... ..so my question is..does anyone in OZ buy weed that is of a paticular strain?...and for those people from overseas....when u buy weed is it…

Seems to me since the old "Talk strain" forum has disapeard. (has it or is it just in my head?) and that different strains just aren't being discussed anymore. Gotta say that this was one of my favorite sub forums. Yes there is the "strainguide" but that dosen't allow for any discussion on strains only reviews. So is this the right place to discuss strains? If it is why isn't anyone using it anymore? Something went pear shaped imo...
